Weather in October.

I will be in Phuket at the end of October.

What can I expect the weather to be like at this time?

I expect it'll be hot/humid, but will there be grey skies, or will the sun be out for all to see?

I found some comments about the weather in October 2002 and 2003

October 2003 was a wet month, very wet. Even more disappointing was the lack of sunny days and October 2003 was a month we would rather forget about. Statistically speaking we had 25 days with some sort of rain, the wettest days being 2, 5, 6, 16, 19 and 20 October when we had rain almost all day. The best of the sunny days were 8, and from 23 - 28 October. Most days were calm to medium rough at the beach, with only 5 – 7 October having quite rough seas at the beach.

October 2002 was a wet month, as expected. By my rough records we only had 12 rain free days during day light hours. I don’t count days with only a few drops of rain as ‘rainy’ days. Most of the 19 rainy days only had light & short (10 – 20 minutes) showers mostly about mid-day or early afternoon, and only 3 days had a complete half-day of rain. I don’t recall any days when it rained all day.
