for those based full time in los

Hi Guys

Have been reading the board for a couple of weeks ( great forum ) this is my first posting .

I left the uk in 2000 went to Australia for 1 year have been in LOS for the last three .

This is my situation and question every year since i have been away i have tried to make at least one trip to the uk a year to see my parents & my brothers ( my kids 19 17 16 come here for holidays ) but my parents cant travel .

I call my parents every sunday from LOS and on sunday was asked when i would be making my trip this year to be honest i was not going to travel but the thing is i feel like i am on a real guilt trip ( thinking would i be able to forgive myself if anything happened to my parents and i had not seen them ) and by not traveling this year what will they be thinking ?.

I am not explaineing this too well but the be all and end all is if my parents were not in the uk ( and my kids still traveled to LOS ) I probably would never step foot in the uk again sorry but i cant stand the place .

Do other forum members that are based in LOS get back to there countrys every year this is driving me nuttssssss.

OMB i feel like i have just written to one of those uk magazines problem pages that i used to pick up of the ex wifes when i was bored out of my mind in the uk .

Im kind of in the same situation here in the states.I grew up in the Chicago area now living in Texas.I have an elderly mom and sister living back in the Chicago area still..I feel the same way as you do..Financially its cheaper for me to visit..but..When I go back yes its nice to see my mom and sister because thats all I have..It also reminds me of all the reasons why I left making me appreciate were im at even more...
