My missereble life....

Hi guys!
This is my saturday. A day that used to bee the best day of my week. But that was before my first trip to Los. And now, after been there 5 times, I have to say the saturday have become the worst day of the week.
Well tonight I decided to go to my local sportbar and watch Norway loose to Italy in football (soccer). The game was ok, but the Italians won 2-1. I went to the bar 3 hours before tha game started and started to drink Carlsberg beer. The bar was half-full and I enjoyed the game. But after the game and about 12 carlsberg beers I thought, what can I do to have fun for the rest of the night.... I left the sportbar and took a pub to pub walk, but there were no life. I jumped into somone I knew from before but it was still boring. Now its allmost 12 o`clock in the night and I ended up home.
Im not able to have fun in my homecountry anymore, what can I do???
Right now I think its better to sit on this forum than go out drinking. Its strange how things change.
I have friends that never have left the country, and they look happy with what they have and what they dont know.........Mybe thats the key.......If they never have had a great time like I (we all) have had in Los, its easyer to bee happy with a regular life.
Mybee I would be more happy right now if I never been to Los, mybee I would be happy with half-full bars and paying 300bath for a beer. But my life dont work that way anymore, Im not able to enjoy anything in Norway.

But even if it dont sounds like it, I try to look at the bright side and I know that as soon as I come back to Los, all the waiting and the boring moments will be worth it. I guess its more like other peoples lost that they never been there, and Im one lucky bastard that have managet to move my fat ass down there.
Sorry for babbeling on, but Im a lttle bit lonley and drunk.

Geir

Cool Not misserable!

You cannot find Los-athmosphere in your country! You will have to accept that!

5 time in Los, having fun? That is more then most guys will get in their life!

Norway is a beautiful country have visited it twice! So beautiful that my Norvegian girlfriend could not leave it for me (close though!) 20 years ago!

Norway is paradise in a certain way! Man you have to see Antwerp, where I come from!20 km takes you 2 hours! Rainy, ugly and poluted!
Really enjoy the things you do have in Norway and count the days to get back to los!!

Well Geir enjoy not to be old and sick!!! Life can be fantastic!

I had 4 years of my young life ruined with a heartdisease, that is worse not being in Los!

Now I am getting old, ugly and fat, wich I don't like at all!

But I do everything to enjoy life, out or in of Los.

I don't need Los at all, I have to admit, it is just extra luxury

I think Antwerp is a great city. I worked right at the top of the 'Kaserlai' (wrong spelling I think), but it is the big tower block with the shops at the bottom of it on the main street outside the train station. I had great fun. Drink, drugs, gambling and a red light district!

There are a lot worse places

Yep, but the red light district is almost gone!

I don't know how long it was, since you been in Antwerp, but it has changed a lot! And one thing is still the same: misserable weather, all year round!

We all feel like this Geir & unless you can change your situation and find a way to live in los , unfortunately there's nothing you or we can do about it.

I think you made a good point when you say people who don't know what we have experienced, are happy due to the fact they don't know what they are missing.

But better to have lived life to the full my friend than never to have lived at all.

Like Adam in the garden of Eden , we have all tasted the forbidden fruit and there's no going back.

It all depends on what you want out of life , ie: are you feeling time is passing you by and you still haven't settled with a wife & kids ?

For me , I think i'm happy to continue the way things are and keep looking forward to the next tour , at least we have this board and a great selection of bm's to keep us company while we await our next adventure.

Hi BB
No kids for me please. Wife? mybee one day if I have to marry someone to to get them a visa.
When I look at my friends with families and big loans on their houses, I feel sorry for them. They are locked up for 20 years, and even if they brake up they have no chanse to afford going to los.
So I feel better today, and knowing that I soon will bee back in los is helping alot.
And thank god (or mybee Nicke) for this forum.
