Vietnam beach and nightlife info?

Hi,

Has anyone been to Vietnam's beaches/nightlife? I was just wondering as I heard many great things esp that its an upcoming area to visit.

now is the time to go before it becomes to commercial,
i went to ho chi min (old saigon)
unless i was in the wrong part(which stands a good chance ) ,it was not like los were the are girls dragging you to beer bars,but the are proper style bars where you are made very welcome and it is obvious whats going on .
some good night clubs as well appocolypse being the main one,a noticeable difference at appocolpse is the ladies of the night shall we say ,dont make it blatant,they will give you a telephone number to call them on and arrange buisness.
wouldnt mind a return visit.dont forget you need to obtain a visa from your home country first ,for the uk if i remember right it was about £40 and you need to obtain it well in advance of your departcher.
i have been told the beaches are very good as well.
one last thing to mention , if you think the Thais have a death wish when it comes to motorbikes then you will be gob smacked at the highway system in vietnam, we was told when crossing the road just walk straight and dont run, when walking they will weave around you ,if yo run it will confuse them and you stand a good chance of being run down,truely crazy but it works,all be it a mad thing to do .

Nevr been there...Would love to go. Hoping to make it early next year.

Its a shame Honolulu Jimmy wasnt still around,

He could have given us all a virtual 'fly by' tour in his Huey from Saigon to the DMZ, but if any of them 'God damn gooks' got in the way he would have to request napalm and "waste 'em ".
