have a look through my harddrive and found some pics of one of my earliest tours of duty long before i knew Nicke and MTB,when bars stayed open untill sunrise and then some .

When did the bars go away from 5 o`clock closing. My first trip was 3 years ago, but at that time they were closing at 2 o`clock (I think)

In 1998 (and the years before) the "last station" was vienna bar. Sometimes when i went home the sun killed my eyes...
I cannot remember when bars closed these days. (maybe to drunk everytime....)
I moved to Thailand in 1999 and the bars closed early in the morning, I think Galaxy were one of the latest with 9 or 10 am closing time. X-cite/Taipan around 7-8 in the morning and Shark Club 06. I think everything changed during end of 2000.
I am not sure, since I have seen many changes in just 5 years, sometimes early and sometimes late closing time. The worst period was when Purachai become interior minister, we had to close before 02 and the bar had to be empty at that time.

it was about 1999 /2000 i used to use tai pan and vip a lot ,then stagger next door to what was the shanty resturant and then staggerback to the room admiring the sun rise
