Tomyam goes to Phuket (Day 6)
This morning went to the internet shop and ran off a hard copy of "These Isaan Girls" for teerak , we go through it together and it is mostly accurate , I do not ask her any why's or wherefor's as she has always been straight up with me right from, the beginning including "Mr Viennese Whirl" , I don't know , maybe she had a sixth sense that i was a long-time monger and wasn't going to be taken in with any bu**sh*t stories or perhaps she "lub me too mut" LOL..
Today we are going on a trip to Koh khai Noi and Maya Bay , it's the first time I have been on a tour for over 5 years , we drive down to rassada pier in phuket city and get transferred to siree island (which is not an island at all!!) as the water level at rassada is too low for the speedboat to moor.
The trip to Koh Khai Noi takes around half-an-hour , but it is too bright and hot , i start to get a headache from the glare of the sun and luckily teerak has some paracetemol with her , we have a buffet lunch there , but it is too bland for my teerak and the kids , so they get some somtam from a vendor and we feed the fishes on the beach. Next stop Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Lei , this is much better , there is some shade under the trees and the kids go swimming and teerak seems happier now as it is not so hot , the clouds have come over , we round off the trip at maya bay , but it has changed a lot since my first time there in 93.
We get back to Phuket around 5:00pm , my headache has come back and I go for a nap after a couple more paracetemol , when I awake teerak has been next door a got a load of food (isaan) , we all sit on the terrace of the bungalow eat the food and have another early night , tomorrow we have to leave at 7:00am to catch our flights and another trip to LOS will come to an end..
Postscipt:-
I have been now with the same teerak for 15 trips now , by far the longest I have spent with 1 poo-ying in LOS and I will be back in 6 weeks time. I first met her in Nov 2001 on my last night of that particular tour and although I found her to be a good laugh and a good sh*g , I did not look her up again on my next 2 trips (butterfly man too mut!!!) , it wasn't untill feb 2002 that I took her again and let her stay for that trip , we used to go out to Patong every night drinking and partying untill the wee small hours (those were the days!!!) , but over time things changed and we began to spend less and less time going to the bar (more her decision than mine .. the butterfly in me has not keeled over and died quiet yet..LOL). Eventually she stopped working at the bar , again her decision , I did not put any pressure on her to do so and was quiet surprised when she told me. Nowadays I find that instead of paying her for her time spent with me away from the bar , I am now paying her for her time NOT spent with me away from the bar , which works out a fair bit cheaper (velly velly kee niow man).
I will continue to see her on subsequent trips , we have a good understanding with each other and get along extremely well , but as dirty mike said in a previous post it is very important with thai ladies to maintain control of the relationship and keep a cool heart..

Hi Tomyam,
Read all 6 of your posts, and "These Isaan Girls." It all adds up to quite a tale. The Stickman submission was dated 10/03, one year ago, which means your teerak was dining on Wiener schnitzel at the time. I'm curious. In your last fifteen trips(with her), how much time overlapped with the Brit and the Austrian, or have you had 15 tripps to LOS in the last year? What befell her in the eastern Reich? Snow, Alpine cuisine, listening to people praise Arnold Schwarzenegger, or men in lederhosen? What was it that caused her to leave that promised land?
Thanks much for the story. I'll be looking forward to future episodes. In the meantime, best of luck to you, your teerak, and the little ones.

hi jaybe,
I reckon that the trip she made to Austria was before she met me (summer 2001) , as she told me about this around songkran 2002 , she had previously lived with him for 18 months on koh samui where he worked as a teacher (english and piano) , the guy from england overlapped me , but only for the period between the time i first met her nov 2001 and songkran 2002. I can only guess the reason that she left Austria was that she only had a limited visa or she missed her family , she told me once , but i can't remember why she came back to thailand , she was getting phone calls from the austrian guy up untill recently , but she hasn't received any calls from anyone other than thai friends and familly for the past 2 trips that i,ve been there.
The 15 trips are from feb 2002 till now..
