on the footy show now, not a major incident but with all his priors they just can't put up with his crap anymore, shame because i reckon he would have been a big part of the ashes campaign, ricky ponting has been a big supporter so he will be extremely dissapointed no doubt.
    mores the pity indeed.

Yes he must have a problem if he can't refrain after signing a contract that he wouldn't drink - one must say a bloody tough contract to have to sign though!!!!

I still can't help but think some of his team 'mates' must be a bunch of cnunts though for not having a quiet word or even stepping up and being a guardian of sorts when it comes to having a beer.
I know I would do it for a mate.
But then again he is a big unit and maybe doesn't 'mentor' that well 55555

Would be tough to watch the state of origin with all your teammates drinking a couple of beers and then get called up the next day by the same blokes and @rseholed.

They are all competing for places. Dog eat dog. Lots of money involved. Life changing contracts.

    Someone will take his place.

Not nice, but such is life.

    Clearly he's had enough anyway.

Nice one Mav. I wonder how many BM's knew the background behind the little bird.

Yes I do know the back ground. Looking and watching it you would say YES WHAT A TOOL. But what transpired before hand and the conversation and friendly banter he had with the Channel 10 technical guy behind the scene, was not reported. Showing the footage alone is taking the action out of context. The footage was not even part of channel 10s live telecast but the network has shown the footage just because it’s BC.

I am not a fan of cameras inside dressing rooms but they have been around for a long time. As far as I am concerned the dressing rooms are for the players and players only. If the networks want camera inside dressing rooms then they should accept the good with the bad footage they will record and not leave the players out to dry when it doesn't suit them.

Yeah we beat Qatar in our last 3 encounters. In this instance we only needed 1 point to advance to WC 2010 , and it was no secret we ( I keep saying we), anyway it was no secret we were gonna play it safe and go for the draw.

there seems to be a fair bit of birthday wishes on the board lately, so it would be remiss to not congratulate lizzie for her birthday.
(ok not officially her b'day, but will take the p/hol anyway.)

    Thanks Easy One

Not much point in having banks here open every day (Kasikorn at Jung Ceylon) when the slack Aussies are working 10-3 on Mon to Friday and 27 public holidays off a year.

Oh well, it's only the rent - I'm sure my Italian landlord will understand!

Gordon Ramsay Vrs Tracey Grimshaw.....what a load of hoo har about nowt.

IMO he was wrong to say what he said....and has apologised tonight.....but l don't feel very sorry for any people involved in any of those Garbage TV Current Affairs Shows....they are the first to prey on anyone else and get personal for a story.

And the feck would Kevin Dudd get involved.....most likely just a Ch 9 publicity stunt anyway.

Perhaps Gordon had been given the nod before she interviewed him, about stories that were going around Sydney a few years ago about her and another very famous Ch9 girl to stir her up. What better person to drop that sort on info to, there would be no way he would not use it (probably given by rival networks).

Bar mat theft mother refused US visa

A Melbourne woman convicted of stealing a bar mat in Thailand says she cannot take her children on a dream holiday to Disneyland because the US government has refused her visa application.

Annice Smoel plans to take her four daughters to Disneyland to make up for the distress they suffered during her 18-day detention in Thailand but the US embassy says her conviction means she is ineligible for a tourist visa.

Smoel was given a six-month suspended sentence and a small fine for theft in return for a guilty plea.

She said her daughters, aged 6 to 12, would be "absolutely devastated".

"They've been having nightmares and coming into mum's bed at night since I got back. It would have been the perfect way to take their minds off all of what's happened," she told News Limited.

Smoel said US authorities may reconsider if the wording of her charge makes it a misdemeanour and not a felony.

"I've got to get all the Thai court documents translated into English and hope the charge is a misdemeanour and not a felony, but I'm not very hopeful," she said.

A US embassy spokesman said it did not comment on specific cases.

New show coming on the box "Trouble in Paradise". Tales about Aussies in trouble OS, they could put an episode on every night of the week, there's enough of them. Some legitimate, some through stupidity. Wonder who will be on that?

    Bronco's and swine flu

If you live outside Aus you don't get all the sport stories.
Tonights NRL big clash will go ahead after all.
Brisbane chief executive Bruno Cullen said player power had convinced the club not to boycott Friday night's blockbuster NRL clash with the Bulldogs.
He said the club's 72-hour swine flu quarantine was not due to finish until 10pm on Friday night which was why the club was so opposed to the game going ahead.

Jaffaman, we have Rugby League over in Perth this weekend as part of an agreement with South Sydney,
They are playing Melbourne Storm at Members Equity in Perth tomorrow night.
Will be good to see what sort of crowd they get, (as previously discussed) they are trying to get a side back in the National Comp in the coming years.

Dammit, ME Stadium is perfect for watching League.
The Storm should be a major crowd fave.

I believe it is a sell-out. Small stadium though - about 20-25K. But that's a MONSTER crowd for rugby league 55555

Bello I agree the ground is small, but from an atmosphere point of view, it is better to play to a full crowd there than play at a larger venue with only the same amount of crowd.
That is one of the main reasons that the Rugby Union crowds are down this year, as they have had to be playing at Subiaco Oval where the ground is really not suitable to play rugby.
Next season they return to play at Members Equity, so will be interesting to see if the crowds improve again.
I have been to games when I lived in Sydney where there were only 10,000 in the 40,000 stadium, and would think it would be even worse not that some of the games are played at the ANZ
The fact that the ground here only hold upto 20,000 is not a problem, and also think it would make for a very hostile home ground for all teams visiting.
Anyway will have to wait and see what happens in relation to getting a team in the comp.

Last night the NRL game at ME stadium attracted 15,197 fans.
It was a close game, the Storm snuck home, Did anyone from the board go?

I have been looking for ages for the best deal on Brisbane to BKK

I missed all the airasia, jetstar deals, I do wish to fly direct and being married to a Thai girl i must lean towards Thaiair ..

Thaiair prices are going up slowly, I can go from dec 1 to dec 31 return for $1141 each, I do not think i will do any better than this

what i am asking is , should i book flights now or hang on and see if any better deals turn up?????
