IMHO, I try to keep the 'General' section to threads about Phuket and normally move threads started by someone who hasn't looked around the forum for a suitable place to post........to that particular place.
Again, IMHO, the 'General' section is getting a bit messed up and diluted by similar threads or threads with absolutely nothing to do with Phuket or Thailand. General recently has been full of Computing, Pattaya, TR's, Norwegians! Etc Which I have moved to the relevant place.
If the thread is going to be 'idle chatter' about nothing much then yes, I think it should be moved to a more appropriate place.
