The weather in Phuket now: Rain Rain Rain

Lot of raining the last two days and all day today, and Patong is flooded...

I hope it will stop for few hours before bar open so I dont have to swim to the bar.

That sucks! Is bar and related business heavily affected by the rain?

It was nice to meet you and you are a great guy.

Were you lucky to get the shy Japanese girl who was in MTB??? She was cute.

Jonas, it is already dark here so I cant make any photos now.

Skorpionen,

Do you know where that picture was taken from?

What business is like when it rains in Patong? Do BG's stay home and bars closed?

The worst rain I've ever seen

It was coming down like buckets today. Glad I have a Suzuki Caribian as many cars were flooded getting through all the water, all the short ones. Since there is so much building going on all the water looks like clay color on the roads.
Took me an hour to get 20 km's to work.

I saw one guy on a motorbike get swept sideways by the water (why he driving through that I don't know)

What's the bar scene like there right now? same old same old or less busy? Is it difficult to get around in Patong? Thanks!

It's always a good idea to get a few numbers of your tilac's so in the event of heavy rain you can call them up and arrange your own little party in your room

Sounds like I was there at the right time, about 2 weeks ago. Luckily when I was there it only rained at night, and once during the day I think, but not enough to effect anything. But I have never seen anything like it before. It started one day, and I ducked into Scruffy Murphy's to try and stay dry, and by the time the rain stopped, it was over the gutters, and beach road was pretty much flooded, but within half an hour it was all gone. I'[d be interested to see some pics of what it's like now.
