International calling cards
Is it better to buy cards in USA vs Thailand for price?
Only need to call back to states a couple of times during my three week stay.

Cards
I do not know which way would be cheaper but if you are only calling back a couple of times ... then many internet shops also offer pretty cheap rates to call overseas from their shop phone.
Also just a pint to keep in mind. If you bring a card over or buy one watch using it from Hotel Room Phones as sometimes the hotel does not get the discount and will still want payment for the call. Have a fantastic trip Enjoy

On my second tour I made alot of calls back to the states. I always used the guys on the streets with the cell phones. There used to be lot of them. This year not as many. But they were half the price of the internet cafes at that time. Cost was about 30 Baht per minute IIRC.
