I remember a year ago or so, I arrived at Patong to find all the bars closing for some religious holiday.

Rather than be pissed off, me and my friend went to the 7/11 and bought a shit load of beer, then invited 10 bar girls to our pool.

It was great

If the bars are closed due to public holidays or strikes.

hire some jeeps and go a promthrem cape ( spelling my be wrong) for a meal.

went there in april with some great board members,tg and a great view.
restaurants are not closed when the bars are.

i was in BKK for a holiday in Aug, all the bars were closed. me and 2 tg went to a bowling alley and got completely hammered and ended up at some israeli's kids penthouse smoking something other than cigarettes. actually ended up being one of my craziest nights in LOS

Maybe you have a look at phuket prison..... (btw the worst all over thailand)

I would never do this in thailand. Drink, have fun, do everything, but not this!!! You cannot imagine thai-prison...
