Phuket Air

I flew with them in August.
At check in @ Gatwick they informed me that they had no record of us on their "list" and that we had to go to the Air Phuket desk, which we did. A queue of 43 other people with the same problem gradually drew up behind us.
They told us that we would have to wait until everyone had checked in before we would be allowed to. ie. we were on standby. btw i'd booked the tickets 3 months previous.
30 minutes before the flight time they checked me in. i don't know if all the other 43 got seats. Their excuse was that the agent hadn't confirmed with them 7 days before the flight. On arrival at B/KOK I tried to confirm the return but they had no record of my booking & advised me to try when i arrived Phuket. In Phuket they had no record & & said i should have sorted it in B/Kok. i spent a lot of time while on holiday trying to confirm but with no luck. When we arrived at B/Kok to return home 3 weeks later i still didn't know if we had seats. After a similar fiasco as at Gatwick we did get on the flight. The plane, a 747 was ex Singapore Airlines & about 30 years old.
Other than this the service was basic but at the end of the day they did get us to LOS and didn't lose our luggage etc. & they are cheap. Also the flight was advertised as non stop to B/Kok. It is going out but what they don't tell you is that it stops in Dubai on the return flight. You stop for re-fueling for about 1 hour & are not allowed off the plane. AS THE SAYING GOES, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
I would only use them in the future if i couldn't get a flight with a decent airline @ a reasonable price. ie. If I was desperate.
Anyway, Good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip.

Just came back using Phuket Air .... while alibaba is right about Dubai stop over BKK-LGW its only an hour and didnt really care as was 5am (local time). Plane BKK-LGW was ex-Garuda air and pretty old - but flight staff are very good (better than TG) and food was very good. The LGW-BKK return was much better plane - but food not so good. Had no problems at either check-in although at LGW they did not know how to route baggage to final destination (annoying to have to go from INT to DOM terminals in BKK). Only other thing is that UK number (0870-774 5457) seems very hard to get thru on.

For the GBP 265 round trip price was BEST value flight ever taken and if that price then would use again, but they would have to stay at least 20% cheaper than TG to keep using them. I chatted to some peole on plane from UK and they paid GBP 400 - I think if buying in Thailand then a lot cheaper!
