newby and yet not
Hello,
I just found this forum and this is my first post, just to introduce myself. You won't see many posts in the near future as I am leaving for Cambodja and Thailand this friday. It will be my 38th trip to Thailand and Phuket in 14 years to be correct, so I am a newby to the forum, but not to Phuket. My normal watering hole is the Rock Hard, where I even gave a wet t-shirt contest for my birthday a few years ago... but that is a no go this days. I'll try to drop by in some bars mentionned in these pages. Greetings.

Hi,
I've been sailing in the merchant navy: tankers, general cargo, containers, cross channel ferries. I am now working ashore but still in the shipping (port) bussiness. I have 7 weeks holidays per year but also work some weekends and public holidays that I can compensate by taking an extra day off (no overtime paid for my irregular working hours). So I have about 10 weeks off every year.
