Question hotel payment question--

hi all, im booked into the expat for 33 nights, in december, my query is, will i be expected to pay the whole of the money "up front "when i arrive,? the thing is ,i will probably go some where else sometime during the month, pattaya maybe,so even though ive booked a 33 night stay, will i be expected to pay for all 33 nights, even if i change my mind and check out after a couple of weeks? cheers for any help on this one!

Hope you don't snore (or make TOO much other night-time noise!?!,lol),'cos I'm booked into the Expat for 27 nights (10th December - 5th January).I'd be interested in responses too,as I fancy heading off to Chiang Mai for a week or so at some point !! 718 hours to go,but who's counting?!?
Cheers,
Bonnetti

hi bonetti,! thats what i am thinking of doing too,it would be a shame to stay in one place for the whole time ,and not to explore Thailand a bit! btw, I'm a terrible snorer!i have sleep anapnia, which means that i stop breathing for about a minute ,then a loud snore blasts out ,loud enough to wake the dead!(im told) the poor thai girls that share my bed, are in for it! i slept with a b/g in pattaya once,at 3 in the morning i stopped breathing (as usual)--she thought i had died, and was shaking me in bed , when i woke up, she said "i think you die!" i think you die!" talk about a panick!
i arrive on the 09/12--for 33 nights hope to see you (you cant miss me I'm fat !) cheers --andy

That makes two of us then!!!!
If you do go up to Chiang Mai,I can thoroughly recommend the Lai Thai Guesthouse ( www.laithai.com ),Great location,Cheap as Chips - 650 baht a night high season I think, really friendly staff, and guest friendly I believe, although I've never tested that.
This time next month I'll be at the airport,I can't wait!!!
Cheers,
Bonnetti.

lysander,
i was there in july, so i couldnt get a read on the bars, but defintely a lot quieter than patong. i thought the food, both western and thai, was much better than in patong. things are a little cheaper, like tuk-tuks. if you want to get outside and do some exploring, great place. like i said, i can recommend a great italian retsaurant, and also a thai diso that has 2 live bands thats really fun
