Changing up Cash

Ola BM's. I would like to know if I should change up my pounds before I set off, or to do it in Phuket. Which offers the best exchange rate? Cheers.

Often here especially if done in small 'as needed' amounts rather than a bulk buy..

Dont use the airport ones though.. Just get a for 1k to get you down here and into your hotel (airport taxi etc) then go and check out the money changer rates..

if you open an abbylife account and get a card they dont charge the 2 percent fee on ATM withdrawal's abroad ---abbylife or nationwide , one of the two,

at the moment you get abou t 68-69per pound here but around 75 with thai bank!!!!

hi steve. the exchange rates really good just now!whe i first came to los in 1987 it was 42 bht to the pound !

yeh i know. the big change came in 97 with the market crash in s.e. asia

u can have money changed till late in the evening around patong. the rates differ little between the various authorised money-changers so do not waste too much time checking them out. time is precious!

100% def do it in Thailand. Rates in UK are poor in comparison.
