Recently returned from my 6th trip.
Lots of fun was had.....as usual.....and met some new BM's, NZAlstar, Danboy and Sham69 to name a few.
Spent some time at MTB and of course I had my fair share of Soi Sansabai burgers

Met a girl in the last week who was great to spend time with. She was easy going, did not ask for anything and quite accepting of my "butterfly ways".
We exchanged phone numbers and after being home for about 24 hours I received an sms;
"My baby very sick and I take him to see Doctor today but I lose my wallet. Can you send me 7000 baht to Western Union, My full name is ............"

I was very dissapointed to recieve the sms as I thought she was a genuinely great girl.
I sent an sms back saying that I would not be able to send her any money.
About 5 minutes later I receive another sms, this time addressed to a name different to mine but saying the same thing except this one only asks for 3500 baht. My first thought, why does this guy get a 50% discount?

About a minute later I receive an sms saying, "sorry that sms for my sister in Switsaland".....to which I reply ........"why do you need to tell your sister your full name? She is your sister and should know your name"
Needless to say I have not received any reply since.

For guys who may have been on their first trip I can see how they might end up sending money. I am sure these types of sms's work on many. I had to laugh as to how soon she tried it on......but I am sure I'm not the only one who has received such an sms.

5555...proper little business women aren't they! Sure you won't be the only one receiving her SMS's.

I was in an internet shop one time and a girl asked me how to "copy and paste" email messages. Similar message to your SMS request for money and this girl wanted to copy it to 10 different men she had got email addresses off from talking to them on thailovelinks. She'd never met any of them for real and was confident she would get at least 3 to send her money.

They certainly are proper little business women.
If it did not work they would not do it.
As you mentioned, if that girl had a strike rate of 3 out of 10, she would be doing well.

TG's seem to have the worst luck with family health

One girl I am in contact with said while she was back home in Isaan that her son cracked his head open and another time said he had German measles. She never asked for money though...maybe these things really did happen?

Regardless of what I am told, no matter how bad or unfortunate the situation, they survived w/out me before so they can continue to do the same now.

It was great meeting you, I think I will forever know you as the San Sabai burger king; the burger was good mate, but not that good... Lol jokes, seriously it was a good burger!

Start back at work tonight and hope to get a better idea as to my next lot of holidays.

My mate actually got one where the girl had sent a group e-mail to about 10 different guys !!

It was a shame Shez, but better you find out early rather than late.

My GF would say stuff like:

"I keep your photo in my back pocket".

"You're the only one I bring to the village".

"I miss you".

On the trip just finished I learned she's been juggling four regulars, including one dude she married last February.

Feel sorry for that guy. He's currently working on a U.S. visa for her right now.

The bit I can't understand is why she returns to the bar when her husband is out of the country??!

I suppose many of these women have been truly bastardized putting in hundreds of ST's.

I know her heart has a huge impenetrable wall around it.

Drinking heavily, the one peace of truth she said was "I have no feeling anymore".

Yeah some of the girls don't understand about the "cc" and "bcc" boxes when they're emailing to multiple addresses so some guys get her email with a load of other addresses in the header :-) Should give them a bit of a clue as to what she is up to.

I suppose it's the choice between sitting in her village bored out of her skull being sent 40K/month or having the bright lights/action/friends/people of the bar life for 40K/month + extra income + the chance to hook another sponsor.

Usually this has come from BG`s who have decided to take the "work bar" option.

Usually they`ve had a Thai husband or BF,who they have described "him butterfly".

So they have entered the bar scene as "damaged goods".

A lot of the TGs (mostly BGs) I met had sick mother/father drink all day or similar back at home. Most had very sad stories of some kind to relate and TBH I believe for most of them it is true. Probably why they got into the BG life to begin with.

Thing is the "work bar" isn't the only option. Whats wrong with working in a shop or restaurant and keeping their self respect. Most BG's are on emotional roller coasters as they've experienced highs, lows are drug users, p1ss heads....lets face it, "damaged goods" is a polite way of putting it. Then you get these blokes who want to take care of them and get all upset when it all goes t1ts up....well sorry brother what did you really expect!!!

Most of the time when, as you said, a BG is coming off a bad experience with Thai b/f or husband being butterfly, they take up the theory "whats good for the goose etc....." and enter P4P when they know full well that the chance of getting hurt even more is highly probable..... emotionally scared even more waiting for the next gullable farang to come along and feel sorry for them..... its a vicious circle but those from both sides of the coin just can't see it....

Yes S1MON.....I gave her either 1000 or 1500 baht (depending on the duration of her stay) each time she stayed over night.
As well as taking her to eat and to the movies and other little things.

Whether a girls asks for money or not, I always give them 1000 baht minimum.
