3 month visa for Thai girl to come to Australia
Hi Peoples, I have recently been to Phuket and fallen in love with the place which so many people seem to do. I met a girl there which I am interested in bringing into to Australia just for a holiday. No thoughts of marriage, baby etc.
Just wondering who has done it and what the process is. Also, how much does the 3 month visa actually cost.
ANy information will be much appreciated.
By the way, this is a great web site for all the tourists who have recently been to Thailand and need some reminiiscing.
Cheers,

Welcome to The FIFFAFTG Club.
This is what l was told by an Migration expert from Melbourne, after my tg had her Visa knocked back (she insisted on trying whilst l was back in Oz)............"Your friend probably fits a profile of a young single female wanting to enter Australia for three months on a tourism visa but where there is insufficient or unconvincing evidence that she would comply with her visit visa conditions. The reason why there is a profile for this group is that they are high risk in terms of abuse of visa conditions. That is a statistical reality. The Visa Office would have focussed on her reasons for entering Australia and while they may have taken your evidence into account, the visa officer would have finally decided the matter on the basis of the evidence she provided. Your information can be as honest and as credible as possible, but in the end the assessment is made on the applicant and the risk factors. Where to go from here is difficult. But I have to say that your friend is unlikely to obtain a visitor visa unless she can convince the Visa Office, without any doubts, that she will comply with the conditions of her visa. That's is a hard ask given her profile and now that she has had a visa refusal"...............so it's probably a long shot, as your tg probably has not got a formal job.
The key is proving to the Embassy that she has a job/family/reasons to return to Thailand......and from what l gather they have to very strong reasons. It is also better if you can actually go with her.
I am a betting man, and l will give you odds of 100/1 if she tries to get one herself.
Other BM's maybe able to offer other alternatives.
I think the cost for a Tourist Visa is around AUD$200.......visit this site, it has all the forms etc http://www.austembassy.or.th/embassy...mbassy_eng.php
Feel free to PM me if you want further info, as l have read a fair bit about this......quite interesting actually.

.....So is it better to apply for a Visa on her behalf? NOt sure what your saying. Excuse my ignorance but I have no idea on these matters.
Believe me, there is no chance of marriage etc with this girl and these are definitely not my intentions with the 3 month visa.I still consider myself to young to marry with way too much too see and do still. I just think it would be nice for her to see another country for a little while and also to see her again for a bit.
Why is so hard to come into Aust. What if she was a better off thai than most and just wanted to come into Australia as a normal holiday staying at hotels etc? Is it easier to get them into the county for a shorter period than 3 months.
Not sure what steps I should take now. Shall I tell her not to apply herself.
ANyone here that has actually had a thai girl come into Aust. with input would be great.
Thanks peoples

Between myself and my brother we have taken multiple TG's back to Holland / Belgium / Germany / UK / IRL / NZ all without too much strife..
It helps if A) she has been out of Thailand before B) she has to show a commitment that causes her to return to Thailand, a job or ownership of a biz, a home or land, anything that ties her to Thailand and maes it seem like she will not drop off the radar and start working in the visisted country.
There is also a money back guarantee service I know that seems to be able to get visa's for anywhere bar america.. Not strictly above board but it seems to have a sure fire success record even after people have been knocked back and without interviews.

All she needs to do, is provide proof of a stable job here in Thailand, and the fact that she will be able to, and is willing to return to the job after her stay in Oz. By the way, this job can have nothing to with the nightlife industry.

What to wear and bring for the interview
Have her wear tasteful jewelry not too much gold. She needs to look like she is a successful, eduacated Thai from middle to upper class. (that's what they will let in) Have her show credit cards, bank statements, employee id's from her work. Don't let her wear braids or cornrows as it's called in the states.
If they have even the faintest idea she works in hostess type jobs she will not be let in.
If you can go there with her do it.
If not write a letter how you met (lie if you have to), your position in Oz, and why you are inviting her.
It will help if she's traveled abroad before(Singapore or Hong Kong ok), US or Europe better.
Good luck!

Is it better for TG to go into Embassy itself or post it in. She owns a Shop back in her province of phissanlok or some shit so hopefully that will be a good reason to go back to Thailand

There is a bad attitude to female visa's.
Your only option is fiance visa unless you are
a blood relative

What they look for is constantly changing. The only real way to find the true facts, is to ask immigration.

Have done it you have to prove that you have been seeing heve for a couple of years and that you will provide all financial support for her visit including return air ticket and that you are employed. the only problem with this is that they find out how much you earn a week and all of a sudden every one in their family gets sick and when they get to Aust. the couch becomes attached to their back and they watch tv all day ***** about the food and are always on the phone.it realy is better for you to go to thailand for your holidays than bringing her here
