high/low season within the high season ?
hey BMs
i know high season in los lasts from nov till april.
during this period, im sure x-mas, new years, easter r definately packed...
which other dates r really packed and which r not, within the high season ?
im interested especially in those not so packed

Went to Patong last April during Songkram (13th)...
The place was absoulutly full of people, the busiest i have seen since i have been going to LOS (made for good nightlife).... Will be going back again same time this April, definatly worth a look if you haven't been around this time...
Only drawback was there were heaps of people along beach rd, crowding it and it took ages to walk a couple of hundred meters, unless you walked on the raod, which is not always a good idea!!!
I believe that between June and September are fairly quite (low season), and the prices are a lot more cheaper with some good packages being offered most of the times, but the weather is not as good as from nov - april.....

good time in my opinion is feb or march because still very hot (usually no rain) and not so crowded... (and the girls are cheaper if thats is what you want to know my friend)

Well this year, Ive never seen Patong so busy, its now only the start of high season but it seems a lot busier than the same time last year
Even low season wasnt too bad

You are right about Xmas and new year...but try March or May...May is great as rates for everything drop incredibly...

i have been the last 2 aprils,and this was much busier than last april but not by any means packed.i am looking forward to xmas to get a feel of what its like when its really busy.
plus i think i have to put up with a load of people i made friends with from this forum  its a hard life

since the high season guarantees the good weather, i wonder what time within the high season will not be too packed...

i would say after 12 april,once songkran is over it starts to get quieter and the weather has always been very good for me right thru til the end of may.

Agree with r3aps, definatly after songkran is a good time, less touristic.
However, weather has always been great....!!!! Weather starts to go a bit shonky about may, june....!!!!
