Simple words
Hi
Can anyone point me to a site that can give me simple Thai words - phonetically speaking. Or if you would like to do it yourself - here is what I think will be enough to get by:
Hello
Goodbye
Please
Thankyou
One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six
Seven
Eight
Nine
Ten
Fifty
Hundred
Thousand
and last but not least
How much :-)

Hi Schmeen!
Just some info on that one. Lah gorn(leave first) is only used be the person who is leaving! Maybe because the person you say good bye to is always staying, you have never heard it!?
a proper responce from the person staying should be Chok dee (Good Luck). TJ

Khor Tote means Excuse me or I'm sorry. (literally it means may I have punishment).
Garuna is the correct word for please although it may be a bit formal. another way is to add "noi khap" or "noi si khap" at the end of a sentence.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "ir". What is "ir'? What does it sound like? Could you explain that to me? Any help is appreciated!

I think it was a typo... Combine IT with Khor.... R&T keys side by side.

Duh-h-h! I thought he meant say "Ir Khor Thoot." OK now I see that he meant say Khor at the beginning of the sentence that ends with "noi khap" or "noi si Khap".
Thanks for the tip Schmeen!
Thanks for being smarter than me, Ozskin!
