do you mean to access the files in your computer at Australia remotely from Phuket? then you would either setup a Virtual Private Network or a Remote Access program like VNC on your base computer. There are also websites that offer similar services for a fee.

If your email account is web-based like Hotmail then you would have no problem. It would be just like going to any other website. If not then you can forward your emails to a web-based email account and access it from any Internet shop in Phuket.

Most Internet Providers offer access to webmail...who are you with? Most of them though only allow you to view new mail, not the existing messages in your Inbox. Failing that you can ask if they will forward your mail and set up a hotmail or yahoo account to view from a netcafe, I know hotmail are up to 250 Mb now so no worries about running out of space

Hi Andy :)

Is your email acct an isp account ? Do you normally access it via pop3? That means you access it with outlook or any program like that, if you do you can always set up outlook to fetch email on any machine, you do however need in addition to your user name and password the pop3 and smtp adress for that server. If you do not know what you're doing when trying to set something like that up in Phuket you in worst case might be ending up giving all access to your account.
Some ISP's however have a web solution to check emails, I know mine does...where all I need is my username and password, you should check out that first, if such does not exist you can try their support and hear if they have another solution for you.
A possibility might be something like a online email reader.

Any messages you allready have in your inbox is not accessible this way, you can always forward them to a hotmail account or something though.
Hope this helps
