I use the one on Sawatdirak road, close to 7-11. Same side as Soi Seapearl. Try out a few ones and find out which one work best for you.

Gone further.. In the shower I just get to the sideburns and keep on going...
Used to get good cuts at the N end of Rat U Thit Rd and Rt turn 20m or so (left hand side then)...
Now anywhere that knows how to do a REALLY good wet shave ??? I have real thick stubble / blue beard and so need to have hot towels etc like a good Turkish barber but Asian barbers dont seem to understand that (not much in the way of facial hair) and despite me doing the 'Lon Towel' bit just refuse to understand.. Hence I end up nicked and with razor burn..
Love the luxury of lieing back and having someone give a really good close shave with all the ritual of steamed towels and working foam in.. Then close as hell with a straight razor and whatever ointment after.. Go in hung over, come out feeling like a million bucks. Used to have a turkish joint near where I lived before that would even serve up that hot sweet slightly burnt Turkish coffee along with the process..

In October I went to a place on the corner of Sawatdirak Road & Rat-u-thit Road. A lady cut my hair and she charged me 120 baht and you've already seen what my hair looked like.

I think it was 120 baht but I am not too sure. It was less than 200 baht though. I just went in and asked for a haircut without inquiring the price then after it was done I just gave her 100 baht and she said 120 baht or something.

The place I mentioned being out of town was (IIRC) 40 baht a cut and 40 baht a shave.. My brother had quite good cuts / trims done there..
I had the whole place laughing once when I got him to shave my beard and head.. He wanted to use clippers on the head and I was like 'no... SHAVE...' etc.. He just did not know what to do and the people in the shop were joking with him and joking with me.. We were all laughing like schoolkids.. In the end he lathered up my scalp and got it done but you could tell he though the whole idea was nuts.. Fun memory.

The place I mentioned charge 150 baht for farangs or 60 baht for Thais. It is still very cheap compared to western prices. Shave 50 baht.

This is common in Thailand, different price for locals and for foreigners. They expect foreigners to have more money and can afford higher prices. Lot of places around Thailand for tourists have a price on a sign while the Thai price is written with Thai numbers (not readable for westerners)

across from C&N
I went to a place across from theC&N hotel. 100 for a shave (with a plastic bic razor...I don"t recommend this) 200 for a haircut (I thought she did a great job) and 150 to get a pedicure. The heals of my feet get downright nasty so the last service was much undercharged. The women at the shop are cool. I had lunch with them another day. I am with liveinlos when it comes to getting shaved. I love the hot towel and straight razor treatment. In Japan, a haircut costs about 30 USD but they spend an hour on you and treat you like a king - 2 washes, shave, cut, massage. They even shave your ears and trim your eyebrows. A liitle freaky the 1st time but much appreciated after that!

Yeah I know what you mean SafeAs, I also got my haircut while I was there and at the time I thought she really butchered me, But looking back at the photo's I suppose it was not that bad after all.
I got mine done in seaview hotel and I got charged 500bt But I was to lazy to look around so I didnt mind paying it, Anyway I got a bit of a fright when she proceded to put talcing powder all over my head and then just went to work with the clippers and before i knew it she was shaving the top of my head with the clippers and I then only noticed she had no scissers I just thought to myself "aah no" what the fu*k she after doing to me But I guess it was not that bad I think
