Did you know that Dave is not your ordinary lovable old fella ....
When he lived in Australia he was a bit of a national cellebrity ....

Granny and the Pie Man
Dave the pie man has definitely become one of Bangla Road's characters, along with 'wobbly coke man' and Granny with the chewing gum. I was in The Ship Wreck back in November with Saa (No.2 wife) when we were able to talk to her for a few minutes. It would appear that she is 83 years old. I have always bought a packet of gum for 20bht just for her self respect and I don't use the stuff.
Whatever her background, all BMs could respect her age and part with 20 bht when you see her.

Irish Jonny and the Pie guy
IJ thats a great Pic when I look at it it reminds me of a popular TV series in the states back in the 70"s called "The Adams Family", he is Uncle Fester and you would be Junior Fester. Uncle Fester used to put a light bulb in his mouth and it would light up.
Cheers!

Very funny. Same same with me. Do not like chewing gum but always buy it from her and give it away to the girls.

Pie man
Yes ,
I phoned him a couple of days after. He lives fairly close to the sea.
He said it had no effect on his room.
