was just thinking....
Hello Guys,
I was just wondering if any of you have given a thought to opening up a VOICE CHAT ROOM.. something like yahoo or paltalk, How cool would that be!! whhile i'm here i would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New year

My web guys are working at integrating skype technology into my site.. Going to be a month or more until a lot of the advanced programming features are ready but it will be a nice touch..

Intersting idea you have there. Maybe someone will take you up on it! I don't think that having a chat room would have any effect on this board because most of us probably prefer this kind of format where you can just pop in and out at your own convenience for a minute or an hour and catch up with friends and acquaintances while doing so. Thanks for reminding me, I am downloading Skype now and will try it out. May be a good way to keep in touch with family back at home.

Skype is great but you do need at least 100 kbps for good quality IMHO.. I tried it on dialup and found it to break up too much but even on low end DSL (256 kbps) its better than phone call quality back to Europe.
Plus with all the published white papers theres some good server side stuff you can do.. Plus conference calling.. plus loads.. Probably use it about 1 hour per day.. Saves me $$ big time
