Guest Friendly?

I will be staying at marine inn with a friend and both of us intend to bring gals back to the room (both of us staying in same room). I read somewhere in the forum that marine inn is guest friendly but upon enquiring, I found out that we need to pay 300baht for each gal we bring back per night. They cited that because the room capacity is for 2 person (i.e me and my friend). So are they a guest friendly hotel or is it because we wanna squeeze 4 persons into the room and that's why we are charged the extra?

it could be the case with a full room, when I go I book a room for myself double occupancy for $3 extra and I can bring all the joiners I can handle for free.

Thanks for the reply. Only been to phuket once and stayed at karon beach resort which charges 500baht per guest, but then me and my friend were also staying in the same room. So i guess guest friendly hotels do have their restrictions (i.e. you cannot squeeze too many gals into your room). Wonder if those who does a sandwich or hamburger need to pay extra haha, since technically it's the same situation as mine. By the way, any idea if phuket customs will stop me if I bring a litre of my own liquor (left over from previous trips) into phuket, or the liquor i bring in must be unopened duty free liquor purchased from their airport?

I have no idea, but you can put almost anything in your big bag and get away with it, just don't bring any drugs or you will go straight to prison if caught.

I dont know about the drink but I would say its ok, But why exactly would you want to stay in the same room as your mate in los if you intend bringing girls back anyway?

If you book a double room for yourself at marine then they wont charge you for your joiner, And I dont think it matters if you bring 2 of 3 back

good point allybabba22
first time i went to patong,i was to meet a mate who was getting there a day late.........he had trouble with accom so I said just stay with me if you want,he laughed and said "having been to patong before the last person you want staying in your room is your mate",i thought ok but i`m not figuring on bringing too many girls back to my room,er after my first night there and having had a girl every night on my whole trip i soon agreed with what he said................it`s pretty amazing how unwise i was about the whole patong bg scene.......but i`ve caught on pretty quick and love every bit of it.........
