Need help to check if my Thai friends are OK
Dear friends in Patong.
I am shocked about the size of this disaster and I am constant thinking of all of you that are effected. It is hard to sit in Norway without possibility to help you. It is only three weeks since I came home from Patong. I am also very concerned about some of my friends who worked at Charlys, or Sandy Beach restaurant. Especially my friends Joy and Nam. Joy is number two from the left and Nam is to the right in the picture below. Does anybody know if they are ok? Also, does anyone know if the guys Jo-Jo and Lek and the lady called Mama from the beach is ok? They used to work straight down from Bangla Road. Thank you and take care!!

Sorry Tom that there is no answers here so far! I want to know to, as I know all of them! I own halfpart of Victoria Guesthouse near Charlies. I Just got to know that all of the personal at Victorias Restaurang (across from Charlies) is ok!

I have tried that number but I will try again. Glad to hear she is OK. Do you happen to know Geoff (?) swedish/english guy. He used to work at Victoria too at the same time.

Blond swedish guy. Worked in the bar about three years ago! If You mean him, he is ok! Back in Sweden know. He was living for about two months in the room at the bottom floor at the restaurang. Think he went back to sweden just before Christmas! He was there togheter with his Thai wife and small baby! Thank God and Buddha that they wasn't there when it happened! That room is completly smashed! /Claes

I just heard that Charlie, Joy and Tiffany and all their personal is ok! Or at least alive, don't know anything about ev injuries! Good news indeed! That "street" witout Tiffany running around should not be the same! /Claes Victoria Guesthouse

Claes! Thanks a lot, much appreciated. It was a very good message to hear that they all are ok. I have been thinking much about them. Watching the news back home make me a little bit angry. Most of the focus is on the conditions for the tourists. I think the well being of our Thai friends is just as important.

O Bamboo and lek.... R u ok?
My name is Jorge and i stayed in karon beach at Mama o´s houses right across the stree from the orchid hotel. Into that alley all the way to the end behind the shop. I was wondering if any of you locals could help me locate my friends, His name is O Bamboo and he had a tattoo shop and a rock and roll bar/club in the alley i mentioned early.
Please, i need to know and i just dont know how to get in touch with them.. I would be endlessly thankfull if anyone could help me My thoughts are with u Jorge

Are they ok??
Hi , the girl worked in the little mermaid when i was there...
Tei, the full frontal face picture, worked at the danish bakeshop next door to the little mermaid in kata... And the tatto guy, O bamboo lives in Karon and ha a rock club and a tattostudio in the first soi to the left going from the beach... Does anybody know if they are ok? I would very much appreciate if somebody could help me to starighten some questionmarks... Lets remember the ones who left us and celebrate the ones that survived, we all come back. Jorge

Anyone in Patong who has been on the beach after the cleanup? I am very eager to know if my friends working on he beach is ok. Jo-Jo, Lek and Mama working straight down from Bangla Road behind the Police Station. They rent out beds and sell drinks and food. Hope someone can check for me if they are ok and say say hello from Tom from Norway.
Appreciate anyone who can help.
