Patong Beach question about girl at oceanfront restaurant

News of this girl?

There is a small building - all one story ground level that is on the North side of patong beach... oceanfront... I used to stay near NOVOTEL and walked south along the beach and this was the first building on the ocean side. I'm sure many of you have eaten there, as it is a conglomeration of small restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a "friend" in the front Right Side eating area and I'm sure that some of you reading must have known her - very bright, smiley, always working hard... she worked there about 12 hours per day and was there maybe everyday... cannot remember a time she wasn't there in the 3 weeks I stayed... We spoke often and I promised to return from Ubon Ratchathani and see her again...

My question is whether anyone remembers her... and whether anyone has any news about her... She was maybe 25 yrs old, shortish hair... looked vietnamese ... or mixed thai and something... I did see the video on this site that shows the devastation of a building that was already 5-8 feet underwater at the start of the video and I'm thinking that must be the building... but not sure on that as I never paid much attention to what the TOP of the building looked like when I ate there everyday.... Can anyone comment? Appreciate it...

Also - I'm planning on returning to stay in phuket long term (in Northeast Thailand currently)... anybody need anything from here? What could I bring that would be of most assistance? I'm traveling by train or bus - so something not bulky could be carried..
