Gents once again i come before you for advice,i am at present attempting to organise my return crusade to the promise land,only this time i am looking at going solo for a couple of reasons.
now a room in patong is not the problem (ref c & n hotel)
my problem is a flights on a budget(why waste money on expensive flights when it could be used else where i.e bar fines etc)
I thought i would be able to get a reasonable flight to BKK then on to Phuket,well it is not turning out so easy .The best deal i have managed to obtain so far goes London via Kuala Lumper and finaly on to Phuket all for £571.20
Have any you gents been able to obtain flights any cheaper or is this as good as it gets ?
I am trying to avoid package deals at local travel agents ,as they hype up the price for solo travelers and are not always clued up when i say that i would require the room to be guest friendly ,which then gets embarrsing when i try to explain to some young tart what i mean.
your thoughts gents would be appreicated.

Stop in Singapore.. thats a major stop for British Air.
Then pop on Thai Air for about 160 u.s round trip.
A night in Singapore isnt that bad if spent at Orchard Towers.
I think there is only 2 flights to Phuket from Singapore on Thai both early before noon and direct.
I am not sure of cost from London to Singapore

eric try trailfinders 01179299000 they deal with flights only or hotels only or flight center on 01179256212 again they deal with just flights.both have shops over the country i deal with both and have got some good deals over the years over £500 for any in direct flight a bit steep!.i have another number here some where its a company in london who deal mainly with thai air they cheap its who must of the thais in england deal with i dig the number out if you want

I manged to get a flight from manchester to koh samui for £540 via amsterdam with china airlines.

Booked it through Trailfinders, excellent company and very helpfull.

Gents ,thanks for the info it will be a great help.
Bigry if you could sort that number out it would be great,I am hoping to be going probaly March time if not earlier ,cash flow depending.
I was hoping to spend a little time in Bangkok ,but will have to see how it goes.

I managed to buy a round ticket for 585 Euro (all incl = 650).
I went to a travel agency specialized in cheap flights (budget air

) I will go via Kuwait.
I thought that was a very cheap flight... now my uncle called me yesterday and said he'd found an article in a daily newspaper with a flight to BKK for only 450!!!(excl. fee) damn..

and business class only 650 (excl. fee)

So check the newspapers for any sales... mabye it helps...

Oh... and Nana... this isn't my first ticket i've bought

my ticket cost £ 613.00 direct with thai airways with with the Phuket flight included with 3 nights in horizon beach hotel.

it was cheaper buying it with the hotel room then on it's own so it might be worth a call. i've looked for better deals but they were the best for direct and with a good airline
