never giv up!!!

hello all...it's been a long week for alot of you...and a time and place that anyone who has been to thailand will remember the rest of our lives! For alot of us thailand, is an escape from relality for a few weeks or months from our everyday lives...well that has now changed!!!! Phuket along with the rest of the region will need our help in recovering from this ..I hope all of you for a few moments realize how fortunate we are too have discovered this place. I know from my few visits to Phuket and Thailand in general that the people will overcome this tragedy, with the grace and smiles that they are famous for. Nicke this web page has been a life line for more than a few people from all over the world!!! for the last week...and will continue too be.... I will be their In April I only wish I could be their sooner Regards Dano

Yesterday on Flemish television, there was a guy sailing around the world, who was in Phuket and survived with his wife and daughter!

He raised 500.000 Bath for a guy he knew who lost his little restaurant on Nai Harn Beach! They were constructing allready!

I think if you can raise money, to get people started again, is maybe not a bad idea! Better then give it to big organisations, wh will use at least 30 % to cover their own expences!

Or you can find charities that are goverment funded like the Irish Red Cross which are funded, Which means 100% of the money is used to help the people in need of it, So I guess there are charities in every country like this one but as tintin said you need to find the best ones and make sure your money is used for what it was intended for.
