Amari Coral Beach Resort, Does Anyone Know The Extent of Damage?

We've stayed in Phuket many times since 93 & the last time in 2003 for a special anniversary @ the Coral Beach.

I guess it's position on the Southern end of Beach Road and only a slip of beach in front, it probably received extensive damage especially to some of the accomadation.

Does anyone have any real info on this hotel please?

p.s. My prayers are with all those in Asia & elsewhere who have suffered loss at the hands of such a tragic event. Words are just so inadequate, it's scale is so hard to grasp.

It looks like it was hit hard. Closed until June 2005 according to the following site.http://www.sawadee.com/tsunami/hotels.htm
