Savoey Seafood (Beach road) back in business
Savoey Seafood opened today for the first time after the tidal wave, also bars in Soi Seapearl and Soi Dontal (Beach road) and some shops has been open for the last few days.
Lot of trading going on along street roads and pavements, clothes sells for 50-200 baht, shoes 200 baht, jeans and long pants 200 baht, music cds 30-50 baht, DVDs 80 baht. Patong beach and the beach road look very clean now, the beach is nicer than ever althought I saw some Jetski operators already back in business.

Glad to know Savoey is up and running again.
I have perused all the photos submitted by members but I cannot find any of the Safari Hotel. Situated behind Savoey. Can anyone let me know if the building is still standing? I have tried to telephone, but no luck, and I am trying to remain positive because the Savoey is still standing. Thanks.

Yesterday i was surfing the net with the tv in the background and i hear a familiar voice and there he was interviewd on the national news Savoey Janne  . It was real nice to se he was ok  On my first trip to Los april 2002 i and my friend sat with Janne and Tompa on Viktoria restaurant one afternoon and i think they were really happy to teach two newbis how things work in the sois. Hello Nicke,
I've just discovered this site and am really enjoying the posts. A good group of bm's here. I have been to LOS 4 times in the past and look forward to having a cold one in the MTB in Mid April. You mentioned Savouy seafood. Is that the best seafood in phuket? Any other recomendations? Thanks, Chingis

Probably the mst expesive! Used by thai princesses. Small bowl of tomyam 250 baht! Prefer seafood redteraunts opposite Paradise or behind Tiger, or for a treat go to promthrep cape
