Bonnetti is back!!
Sadly back in the UK now(arrived back 7/1/05),having spent the time post-Tsunami just outside of Ayutthaya.It was a real pleasure meeting up with fellow bm's and I am so relieved that Erik and his dad are safe after their trip to Phi phi (spent 3 days watching Thai tv coverage,hoping not to see them,if you know what I mean!,not being able to get through by phone).I bet that Whazzup is feeling petty lucky too after the previous weeks trip to Khao Lak!!
apologies for not posting sooner,but Ayutthaya was singularly lacking in internet shops (well I didn't find any!!). Best wishes to Nicke and Ead,hope that business picks up,and that all goes well with the baby,look forward to "wetting the babies head" on my next visit (hopefully in May/June).Hope to meet many new and old (I'm not talking about eric's dad!!) friends then, Regards, Bonnetti

You're right "lucky" somehow doesn't seem the right word to use,in connection with any of the dreadful events of 26th December.I know it seems fairly trite,but I'm not suffering the normal "post LOS blues" syndrome,I think partly because the enormity of what has happened makes the thought of feeling sorry for myself that my holiday is over seem ridiculous. A pleasure to meet you too mate,let's hope we can meet in the MTB soon for a few jars (hoping to back in May) and that things can return to some semblance of normality, Cheers, Bonnetti

Didn't plan my next trip yet, however May or June does sound good .... if so we'll meet again
By the way I hope you are not suffering from any trauma's concerning Thai traffic in burgundy japanese vehicles like I do. My young live flashed right in front of my eyes on a road trip to Surat Thani in a vehicle like that. Except for some sweaty and restless nights in bed I'm starting to feel okay now after three weeks.

So you went by car to Ayuthaya 2nd time. Must of been an interesting trip. Any beautiful spots which jump to mind on your journey? And how was that beach place you visited near Bangkok?
Never been to those parts of Thailand, so would be interesting to know for my future trip.
