What do you mean by normal? Aren't there fewer tourists than usual for this time of year? How about the numbers of bargirls? Are they back to pre-tsumani levels?

Dont you read posts on the board?
Almost everything is back to normal exept from the beach road. Everything is open, and the beach is cleaned.
But as you can read in many posts, or see at television, or newspaper, the travel agencys has cancelled all flights to Phuket until their foreighn departments get theis thumbs out of their a sses and understand that it is safe in Phuket now. There are less tourists, and lots of bg`s that has gone home because of fear, but still enough to have fun.

More and more shops that were damaged is back in business, streets cleaned up and so on and it looks better every day.
Many girls went home but still lot of girls around, the number of tourists is decreasing each day since people's vacation is over and they return back home, but very few new tourists are arriving. I guess it will be quiet until February.

Of course I've read all the posts on the board, which is why I questioned how things could be back to normal. I know that the damage is cleaned up, but with a lot of the tourists and bargirls gone, it's hardly normal.

There is a good article in the current edition of Time, with the famous foto of SeaPerl, which tells, that Phuket is not so much damaged and more than 70 percent of hotels are waiting for tourists...

You're very confused Crazy Swede. Of course I already knew that there were fewer people there. I was just commenting that things are not "normal" despite how much I wish they were.

I dont try to twist everything you say into something bad.
I just thought it was a strange question to ask when everybody knows that it is less people in Patong now..
I think you are the only one that didnt understand what stevem ment...
"Patong is operational as normal", means for me that everything works as normal, and that they only wait for the tourists...
Got it?
