Good to see Nicke and a couple of board members made it onto the phuket.com photos of the recovery of Phuket.

What do you mean by normal? Aren't there fewer tourists than usual for this time of year? How about the numbers of bargirls? Are they back to pre-tsumani levels?

Finaly BBC and some other news channels starts to talk about how importent tourists are for Phuket and south of thai .... they speak of another disaster if no tourists will come , finaly some of them woke uP .. right now they show Patong beach and how nice and clean it looks like and i agree , it looks nice

More and more shops that were damaged is back in business, streets cleaned up and so on and it looks better every day.
Many girls went home but still lot of girls around, the number of tourists is decreasing each day since people's vacation is over and they return back home, but very few new tourists are arriving. I guess it will be quiet until February. Quote:

There is a good article in the current edition of Time, with the famous foto of SeaPerl, which tells, that Phuket is not so much damaged and more than 70 percent of hotels are waiting for tourists...
