I just received a phone call from a Thai Girl whom I know allready 2-3 years.
I spent 4 holidays with here. My last time in Thailand was in May 2003, and we still wrote and phoned eachother a lot of times. Now since november I have booked a trip back to Phuket March 2005, and we would meet again. Now today she calls me in the office telling me, she's back in her hometown and she will get married next week.

I tried to act real cool and tell her goodluck and stuff like that, but inside I felt rather weak. Allways had a weakness for her, because she was very pretty in my eyes, and I could talk with her for hours (her English was very good, because she used to live with a scottish guy for 4 years).

Maybe better for me otherwise i would have fallen in love again in March.
I know it's all about the money and I know Thai girls are good actresses.

I know this story might sound stupid in times of Tsunamis, but I'm just a stupid farang with feelings who wanted to drop this story.

I can understand you! Not all the girls are the same. With some there is chemistry, with others there is not! Some girls get feelings, even with customers.

But ....sorry to say Steven, you sound like a guy wich toy is taken away.
Either you really cared for the girl and YOU should have given her a change with you, either you just take her as a nice available bg.

If i were you, I would be happy for her! She is one of the luckier girls, where there is a life after the bar!

This is what I always prefer, when I see a girl I really like. If I go back at the end of the year alone to Los, I would miss Tig, but I prefer to miss her and knowing she got a chance like that!

Think about that and...be sure that on your next trip, some hottie is going to spoil you too!

If you cant be here, or dont wish to take them there, (wherever there may be) just enjoy the moment and try not to let hearts get involved..

Unfortunately, you are not the first and not the last. I was there in May too (what a pity we didn't meet us) and I staid with a girl I kept in touch with. For sure, I knew she went with as many farangs as she coul, but she told me everything (sometimes not easy to hear). One day, she told me she was getting married the week after, with a farang who probably promised her the world. Three weeks after the marriage, they were finished and another farang, who was with her just before the marriage (incredible story, but too long to relate here) invted her to come to his country in Europe.
He did so. And I met him and her where they live in Europe (sorry, i don't want to give more details, except it is not far away from Belgium). It was a srange relationship, i think now not good for evrybody, because I was ready for friendship whith he and obviouly with the guy, but it was not the same in her head. IAlthough she was with someone, I was also her property. One day, I told her I had banged a woman at home, then she changed and told me she wanted to go to my home (as she says) and so many other things ...

So, you could try to tell her that it is not important if she gets married and wish her good luck, as you have done already ... but also to tell her that you want or have already found another girl in Patong. I am sure you will see a difference in her speech.
Anyway, many of these girls dream to leave Thailand for a farang land where they think it is paradise ... what a paradox! But it is the first one who ggives her the "paper guarantee" who wins.
After all, I am not sure that her future husband wins ... Wait and see.

And don't forget that so many beautiful ladies wait for someone like you, Steven.

Also very true and that's the way I behaved during my two trips to Brazil (no heart involved), I guess I learned a lot about it.

This girl was very special for me and in Phuket I never butterfflied, did not bother about other chicks, but hey that's life, and life goes on, and I will be back in Los soon, so I will look at the bright side of life.

This is so true, LivinLOS. Everybody has to know that because it is 99,99% true.

Know what you mean, she also told me everything about going to work night after night in Tiger. She even guided me some times when I was in Tiger with her and showed me some FL/BG tricks. She told me a lot about it and it was allways great fun. The strange thing with this girl was that it was not all about *** for me, we got along very well and we were a lot of the time like very good friends.

It's like you wrote in your previous post, most girls are girls fishing for social security. This guy fell for her head over heels, he even stayed there when he met her (did not take his flight back to Europe) and stayed for three months. He invited her to come to Europe. I never had the guts to do this.

It's not the first time, she's going to marry, because she's a real stunner who speaks absolutely great English and she had a lot of guys coming back especially for her.

But I know now it's for real about getting maried and I wish her all the best and I'm not going to lie to her. I'm not a player of games, especially not with this girl.
