Reports Here In Usa Are Stating If You Are In Phuket Do Not Eat
Any Fish- It Could Be Contaninated From Feeding On Human Bodies Rotting In Ocean. This Again Will Put Big Hurt On Phuket I Will Be Back Jan 18 For 3 Months. Please Let Me Know About This?

Just my opinion as I am not a specialist, but I think it is bullshit.
Many fishes and squales die in the sea and - with all the respect i want give, ple ase don' take it wrong - what are some thousands of people in the ocean?

Don't worry about these reports as even if you were so unlucky to eat a fish or crab (more likely to scavenge eat) that ate human flesh it would have processd it in a normal biological manner and should not be harmful.
People in Singapore are starting this myth as well - It a real pain in the butt as I was just tucking into some sushi when someone mentioned they were going to stop eating fish for these reasons. Besides a lot of the regions hit rely heavily on fishing and if people start hyping this then they will suffer twice in the loss of business...

I agree with Bafana. The worst are crabs and prawns/shrimps.
If you find a body at sea it is full of shrimps. A fisherman helping in the sea rescue services told me they where not eatable. I suspect after a few weeks you can't taste it and you can't certainly ask a shrimp what he had on his menu before. I don't worry too much about fish, and when I come back I suppose the prawns will be OK again.
