heading off around the world at the begining of march,cant fecking wait!
looking to spend quite a while in LOS,but not sure when im gonna reach there.
so i think there will be no use in applying for a 60 tourist visa beforehand(especially when i dont know the dates).
So, would this be the best thing to do(and, is this my only option ?);
use my 28 days allowed and do visa runs.
if so, how long can i get extended?anyone with visa run experience?
Any help would be great.

hi wylos, as far as i know you get your 30 days visa on entry to los, then towards the end of your stay u can extend it for another 30 days up to a max of 90 days for a cost of 1900bht each time u extend,u go to the local immigration office to do this ,take 2 passport size photos with u--

Not correct.. A 30 day visa on arrival can be extended only 14 (or is it 10 ?) days.. A 60 day tourist visa can be extended 30 days for a total of 90.

Also you can enter Thailand at any point in the validity of the visa and qualify for your 60 days even if theres only 1 or 2 days left on the validity (its valid to enter the kingdom then it starts counting down).. so if you had a 2 or 3 multiple entry issued in your home country you would have a 4 or 6 month window that you could arrive in Thailand during and then start a 90 day stay.

Nope.. You can apply for a 'visa on arrival' valid for 30 days and extendable 10 (or 14 ??) days for 1900..

If you apply to a Thai consulate before you come you can get a 2x or 3x 60 day entry visa (Tourist Visa) and these are extendable 30 days each time, again for 30 days.
