Post Thai health

Question in general?
aimed at those who have had or now life with a Thai national in their home eurpeon country
if a Thai national should chose to go to a europeon country it is known they will require health insurance (same as when Ead went with Nicke to his home)
what level of health cover ir required ?
who was offering the best level of health/medical cover?
what sort of figures was quoted ?
im curious as to what is expected

I think the rules changed in July last year so the insurance must be valid for all EU and not only the destination country, which make the insurance slightly more expensive, I guess.

You can signup for travel insurance in Thailand or buy one in your home country, so ask your current insurance company how much they want to cover a Thai girl on visit.

For Ead I paid 1600 baht or something for 3 weeks stay in Sweden, I bought from Bupa Bluecross in Phuket. (Isnt Bupa a British company?)

I dont remember how much Skorpionen paid for Was but he bought from a Swedish insurance company and as I remember it was not that expensive either, maybe 1500 SEK = 8-9,000 baht for 3 months stay.

in Germany you can go to the ADAC (automobil club) and buy an insurance for your girlfriend. No questions asked, you just sign and pay. All accidents, hospital stays, pregnancy tests etc included. Valid up to 3 month.

Check out Thai Health Insurance's (THI) Journey Healthy coverage. It's a good value.
