Ozzies Coming Home.........
Just wondering if any aussie bm`s or all bm`s have had any bompems coming through customs when arriving back in oz,I`ve only come back from los twice but even on the first time was quizzed as to who i travelled with ,told "you go there a lot " why??,i got a little annoyed at this one as it was my first time and the customs woman said you have lots of stamps in your passport........tired,and just not in the mood to have a 16 stone farang woman giving me the sh*ts i told her if she read my passport properly she would see they were stickers to Japan, having been there about 10 times and only once to los.............to which my smart*ss answer meant i was taken away to be reprimanded, didn`t care too much about that .......
Anyone had similar experience??

Been Through Sydney Customs Heaps Last Time First Time They Have Not Just Let Me Straight Through.
But Older Guy Came Up To Me And Said What You Doing In This Line
You Have Nothing To Declare And Let Me Go The Fastrack Line.
I Dont Mind Customs Or The Security Checks Makes Me Feel A Bit Safer.

Maybe I am lucky
I guess I must be lucky but I have never been asked any questions at any immigration counter about my trips. Also not sure if this helps some of the BM's but if you have items in your luggage that you would rather not declare like CD's, DVD's, Software (I am not talking about drugs or the like as I if you bring this in you deserve to fry IMHO). Then bring something back that requires declaration such as a small wooden statue etc. This way you go through the red line and get asked to show what you are declaring. I have never been asked to open my luggage after doing this as I guess they think I am honest. However I see many people going through the green line who get picked out at random and then all their bags are opened and thoroughly search. Again I could just be lucky?

I also got the third degree coming back into Australia. Had nothing to declare but got redlined anyway, and luggage searched. Lost it big time at the customs officer, saying that coming home from a Tsunami that was the last thing I needed....he apologised and said it was routine when you are young(ish) and state on your entry card that you've spent most of your time in Thailand, as it is a "central point" for drug trafficking.....

Try returning from Colombia
I used to go to Colombia a bit. Coming back on a 36 hour flight via the States I waited for my bags (I guess they were being searched) then was asked to go to the red line queue. I had to wait about another 20 minutes until the senior customs officer arrived. I really lost it, told them to get f**cked, emptied my bag upside down on the table etc. The young guy wanted to punch my head in but the old guy was really calm.
He said to the young guy, "The gentleman is really upset, why don't you get him a complaint form? In fact get him two."
This then pissed the young customs officer off.
I had to laugh later as the old customs officer wound the both of us up.
Sent in the complaint form and got a reply from the Chief Of Customs saying that, if you meet certain parameters then you will be of interest to them but that I was "not a person of interest" to customs.
I learnt a good lesson about self control and now just go with the flow. Also I wouldn't perform like this in any other country but my own.

I always get grilled
Every time I come through customes in Perth I seem to get the 3rd degree. Where did you go, what did you do, why did you go on your own, why have you been so many times?
I think I am getting used to it now. But it still annoys me especially after have a great holiday.
A couple of time they have taken some type of swab from my wallet and stubbie holder on my return. They say they can check if I have been handling any drugs.

Haven't had any trouble with may last few returns from LOS- no questions or delays, however on my very first trip, i went to phuket with 8 mates and we were all around 19/20 yrs. Once arriving at perth airport, the custom officers asked a lot of quetions like hows the trip, whats the weather like, what did we do/see, have we been before, who did we go with... etc , the questions sound pretty generic and harmless, but they were a cleverly disguised way for officers to "sound out" a person, i sort of realised this and went with the flow, all was good and we all seemed to get through with no problems... later did i realise that we were singled out because we were young and we had come back from LOS.... but suppose this is life and the custom officers were doing their jobs!!!
In a way it's good to see our airports being thorough, as i feel security at airports is paramount, don't know about other BM's but it sort of puts my mind at ease....

ps: i`m all for security at airports, happy to oblige customs with their job,i think it was the fact that i like all bm`s have just enjoyed the feminine fruits of the kingdom and to have this big 16 stone farang woman at immigration sneering at me,kind of got me riled up, but senor 123 as with you i`d only show my feelings at my home airport............

Yeh and they usually put the dogs on you as you're getting off the plane, or at the baggage carousel. And I've been poked in the back at the baggage carousel by some customs prick trying to get my attention. I reckon there's a few of them who enjoy the power trip. You don't give them any lip though, as they'll only make you pay for it.
Australia is definately the toughest place I've experienced.

Interesting reading, I had no idea LOS tourists were singled out and questioned. I never had these experiences and never heard of anyone else for that matter. On the other hand, LOS is number one destination for Swedish people and despite our small population we are one of the biggest tourist groups in Phuket (Thailand?).

lol, Yeah thought last year that we were nearly going to be jailed for having an un opened packet of pringles in the bag that we forgot about. Nearly shit my pants when they started the questions like: did you pack this bag, um yes, so you are saying you packed this bag. Um yes so you packed this bag and no one else packed it, you packed it and you are saying that it is yours. yes then she f"""""in tells me that they could have fined us because there was a packet of prinkles that were in the bag un opened that we forgot and I thought shit what has happened. Needed a change of pants nearly after that. First trip they took the wooden pan pipe that cost bloody 3 dollars in Patong otherwise it would have cost us 20 dollars to have fumigated, But I dont really have a problem as long as they are consistant.

Same Same last trip questioned closely by an immigration officer {female} why alone? why so often? etc. Got thru that only to have my bag stop in the Xray machine, more questions, did you pack the bag? has anyone had access to it? etc, crapping myself as bag had been in hotel lobby for hours as I had those last few drinks and farewell boom boom.
What was in the bag???????
A whole box of tiger balm {12 jars} bought for freinds.
PS the heroin was in my bumbag

I like nicke think its funny reading this, Because I have never had a problem coming home from anywhere, I was never stopped or questioned ever, But if I was questioned about why I went to los so often, Then I would tell the truth, And say I go over for the one and only purpose to fu*k as many LBFMs as possible Honestly I would not care who was standing there or what they think, And I would actually like to see what there responce would be to that

No real hassles here
Howdy all, been back through Sydney customs 6 times since 94 from LOS. Only one occasion was i payed attention to. It was unusual as i think they picked me up on camera and a very friendly guy started to ask me all the usual questions but this was in the que for the desk. I think i looked like shit though. I had a sinus infection hadn't slept for days and drank a lot of bourbon on the plane to stop the pain, that didn't work, from blocked sinuses and flying. I played the game and wasn't a smart ****. They have you by the short and curlies so i talk to them like they were Thai officials.
I always declare something such as unopened chips, gets you through customs pretty quick.
Regards Steveski

Yup Allybabba22.............as I`m still a newbie enjoying the pleasures of the kingdom and have only had 2 trips, thats the angle i was coming from........I`ve flown in from all parts of the world but just noticed a different reception when coming from los...............I guess it`s assumption No1 in customs school that single male se asia tourists maybe there for an undesirable purpose.
I assume they are looking for pedophiles, and in that case good on them and all power to them.................

Do you not think its a bit too late to be checking you when your on your way home and what exactly would they be able to do then? Do you think they would be able to guess you are a pedophile by asking a few simple questions, I think that would be highly unlikely.
I personally dont think its about that, But I would say it has more to do with drugs than pedophiles or why else would they pick on the younger generation opposed to the older? Just a thought.

On arriving back to the Melbourne airport, no matter where your coming back from, everyone goes to the red line and has their baggage x rayed. I think this has arisen from all the terrorist problems.

Yes Allybabba22, this is why I have all of the condoms in my carry-on bag to see the look on the faces of the x-ray girls! All they do here is look at my paperwork and send me on without a word, they don't even check to see if you have the right bag as you are exiting the terminal.

last time i came home from LOS, in feb 03, my 2 mates got thru ok (they had a flick knife and one had a heap of tatts - the other had a sore ass from bangin a heap of juice over the week).
I got told to go thru the red line coz i said hi to a customs man.
NB: I declare EVERYTHING, even the barley sugars that i took from home to LOS and back.
They swabbed my bags and "apparently" found Ketamin (special K).
They wondered hoe i know what it is and i told them i have to know coz i work part time in hospitality.
they went thru my dirty jox, dvd's, swabbed my credit card and came up with nothing - no surprise - and let me go AFTER 45 MIN!!

This is not the case. I have never had my bags x-rayed when I have gone through the red line. And why do you think everyone go through the red line? You only go through the red when you have items to declare.
