The good news is the girl who got the cash and disappeared....well most of the advice from the BMs was exactly right...
She went home to her village to show everyone how lucky she is. No big deal.
In her last email she told me there was a lot of motorbike accidents in Phuket...so of course when I didn't hear from her I'm thinking the worst.

So...with my help she will be attending Rajabhat Institute for the next four years.
The really good news is my wife and I are going to Phuket in April.
I hope to hoist a pint with a few BMs.

To be honest at first, i thought that it was rather stupid the whole thing. But then i was thinking, you're giving someone a brand new life, just like that. There are few people like you and i would be honored to swing a jug with you, unfortunatly i wont be going back to Phuket for a while.

I agree...it could have been a stupid thing to do but I guess it depends on how it turnes out in the end.
I still believe if you trust a stranger it is rare you will be burned.
People like to be trusted.
That's the world we live in...when the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
Jimholio....we can hoist a pint another time..it would be my pleasure.
I expect to spend more time in LOS...maybe buy a house there if things go well in April.
