Yeah I know that diz but I am looking for a specific camera(Sony 150dsc with 512MB) So ill probably wait until I have enough money to buy it rather than buy one that I dont like as much, Unless of course I have enough money on my tour to buy one but I really doubt I will.

Hey Ally, what happened to the funky little Canon Ixus you were so keen on. I thought you had bought it. If you really want to take a digital camera with you and not spend too much have a look on ebay. There are some great bargains to be had there for silly money

I was all set to buy it, But I happened to see it in a camera shop just by coincedence and im glad I did, Because it looked very cheap and tacky looking, Nothing like the picture, So that was a lucky escape because I was going to buy that on ebay.

And thats where im going to buy the sony one also, I seen it on the same day in town, And its a real little beauty but it costs about 680euros in the shop and thats with only 32mb, Where as on ebay it comes with 512mb with a free leather case for only 480euro so you cant go wrong at that price, So I think ill wait.

I'm very happy with it and can take up to 100 "very good" pictures or around 450 pictures at "normal" setting (I'm not a camera expert as you can guess !!). It has lots of features including ability to take 20 second film clips. I would imagine that is about 250-300 euros now all in. I don't know about the ones you mentioned, is there much difference ?? Basically with mine now, I point and click until I get the picture I want and then delete the ones I don't wish to keep, this allows me to go the whole holiday and then download them all when I get back. I rarely take more than 100 photos never mind 450 !! LOL

Diz

The Sony one has 7.2million pixels, So I guess the photo should be of better quality, And you can record 2min video clips, Ands it has loads more things on it but I also know fu*k all about camera's and the real reason I want this one is because its a little beauty and really stylish, And most important its a tiny little thing so it will fit in my jeans pocket, So I wont lose it

PS: It also comes with 512mb chip so I can take loads of photos which is something that is essential, Last time I took about 180+ photos in 10days on disposable cameras

Take a look at Canon Ixus 40, it is an excellent camera, both for photos and movie clips. (640x480 @ 30 fps). The drawback with cheaper cameras is the flash, daytime pics may be excellent but the photos at nighttime may look crap. This new Ixus 40 also has a 2" display and 3x zoom despite its small size.

Highly recommended.

What is 5 mg pixel? lol.

Sure, I always like the Ixus series. I had Ixus v2, Ixus 300 and Ixus 330 in the past but my current Ixus 400 has some strange problems thought (Guess I got a defect one from factory) which corrupt the memory card. I used the warranty and the camera worked for 2 weeks then problem again.

As I like to have a compact camera as a complement to my Nikon D70 I am also looking around now, It may be an Ixus 40 next time.
