I do not know what 3 lb is in Kg's,but normally Federal express takes till 80 kg's.

You can go to their website and calcultae exactely how much it will cost you!

It all depends if you want it fast or not!

USPS air parcel can take weeks.. UPS is expensive but rarely takes more than 10 days..

Hey Marc last year I shipped a package using FedEx from Boston to Phuket. It took forever to get there, over 2.5 weeks. Make sure the company you use has an office nearby.

Re-stocking

Marc:
Surely you are not already in need of re-stocking. 3 lbs of Condoms and Vitamin V / C!!
I think you can buy that stuff there and save the cost of shipping!

I shipped a box of goods from Phuket to NY last year. It was rather expensive but only took a week. Should be the same the other way.

Cheers,

Ashley

Fed Ex...........

Myself and a number of friends of mine have had problems with Fed Ex here in Phuket as they have no official office here. DHL on the other hand has always been very reliable and will come to your front door to pick up your parcel. Here's their number 076-258500-3.

Marc, I've sent and received a few things from LOS and tried most options. My conclusion is that you very much get what you pay for!

If you're not worried about the time factor, just use the regular post. It always arrives in the end but 16 weeks waiting is not unknown! If you want it to be timely and reliable, pay the extra and go DHL - although they are indeed bloody expensive.

my experience says dont send anything that is valuable without registering it.. not even a DVD etc..

I have lost multiple mail packages arriving to Thailand and had 300 USD stolen from a registered mail envelope by the postmaster (yes that was me that he was caught on camera ripping off and then never reported to the police for.. Was on Thai TV and Thai language papers)..

Normal mail takes 5 - 10 days from the UK but a parcel can take weeks clearing customs.. Theres a UPS in town and I use them for legal documents and stuff that needs to go faster.
