Advice or info needed

In about 9 weeks I`m back in LOS after almost two years of absence. Like everytime I come overthere we go visit my wife`s uncle (both parents are dead and uncle took care of her). So a day or two in one of the suburbs of BKK. After taht we normally go to Patong to meet with all the friends we have over there and relax in the daytime and party in the nighttime (nighttimes we have a nanny for our kids) Now this year is going to be different. I`ve heard that when someone dies they get a funeral and some time later some sort of memorial service. After 10 years my wife wants to make that for her mother since her brothers don`t bother to do that. Now I want to know if someone ever had such experience. What is it like, what to do, how long, costs etc. I only know it ill be held in the area of ayudhaya.

After the ceremony we will be coming to Phuket. For Phuket also some questions. What is good to do with small kids in Phuket except for all day staying at the beach and playing. I`m thinking off the zoo or fantasea or other things like that.

Thnx in advance anyway, best regards Beuk.

Hi Beuk
Phuket Zoo is a good choice for small children. It is not very big,so lots of walking will not be a problem, also there is plenty of shade, small food and drink stalls inside and not very expensive (500baht for adult) The tiger pic experience is very good ,also the crocodile show but I didnt like the elephant and monkey shows. The aquarium is good also.

We did this for my wifes mum about 2 years ago. As far as costs go, it all depends on how much you want to spend, like in how big is the momument going to be. I think we spent B50K all up, but it is pretty big and really beautiful.

You will need to speak with the locals about what costs are involved.
