Phuket - Anyone been to Karon Beach? If so is it good

Does anyone know if Karon Beach is a good place to go and party?

Patong is the party spot, Karon is good for daytime swimming and hanging out from Nov - March.

There are a few bars in Karon but nothing compared to the nightlife in Patong.

I have answered many questions on the area, as I always stay there.

I am not going to do ii all over again, i am lazy today!

Anyway different scen, maybe quiter, but sometimes if you go the right places, more relaxed!

Yrp i usually stay karon when in phuket ! and its good for the day time ! swimming and chillin !

Like river says though it only has a few bars and restraunts but it has nothing on the scale of patong's nightlife...so lots of coin wasted on tuk-tuks

So my next tour i'm changing to walking disatance of bangla !

I stay in a soi which is about 200 metres inland from the traffic circle by the beachfront. (This was just out of reach of the water in December). I really love it because there are plenty of bars with plenty of girls and a good party atmosphere but there is plenty of room in the streets and almost no hustling.

I like Patong but only for odd nights out. I find Patong a little overwhelming. On my last visit, I finally got to MTB and it was a great pleasure to meet Nicke, Coolhand and Mark26. I will always make a point of going to MTB on every trip in the future. Tickets are bought and paid for and we will be there in October!

It's also true that the girls in Karon generally have a more gentle disposition but I imagine that a professional butterfly man would find Patong a much more suitable environment.

I dont need Patong every night. But it is true that the partying days there are a problem to get to from Kata/Karon.

If it are not the 500 bath both way, it is the dangerous road, with a few drinks in the stomach.

But..if you find the right spot for you in that area, you have a quieter place, more relax beach and.....al the bm you can desire!
