My problem has always (so far!) been getting the damn thing to go down, as opposed to up - all the same there was an interesting news item just on about Viagra.

It seems 50 or so men in the States have gone blind within 24 hours of taking the blue pill…something to do with affecting the blood supply to the retina….

Anyone know anything about this?

I heard this on the news today. Report I heard said 40 cases out of 23 million doses taken, and they are not sure it was the viagra caused it, since it was mostly in cases of people with diabetes or high blood pressure. It seems likely the viagra had something to do with it, but still the odds are about a million to one and probably less if you are not a diabetic!

I'll take my chances, altho I still prefer cialis, I do use Vit V occasionally!

Isn't enny thing to worry about. Millions take the pill without having any problem. Same as millions of laydies take conseptions pill, but some will have brain strokes.
Second: It is not proven, diabetiks for instence have higher chance of going almost instently blind from retina untatchment , wait for the facts. Could just be "normal" desises causing this, but if you blame Viagra you could get millions in compansation

I used google to find the report. On the Google page, the first ad in the ad column on the right side of the page was:

Talk about an ambulance chaser!! The report only comes out today, and already they are advertising to find people to hire them to sue the drug companies!!

-I am sure it is largely a media beat up. Beat ups have always been blamed for sending people blind.....

For what it's worth I heard this report also and the news here was reporting that the few who went blind had a pre-existing problem and that the Viagara, Cialis and one other contributed to the blindness but did not cause it...
