buy flight tickets online
have someone had some problem with using creditcards to buy flight tickets from bkk to phuket, or somewere else? air-asia.com bangkokairline.com etc
are they trustfull and dont take more then they should? or is it more safe to just buy the ticket on the domestic terminal in bkk?

I had no problem buying with Thai Air on C/C from BKK to HKT.
Just make sure the site is secure with small yellow padlock in right corner of webpage and print copy of everything.

So long as the site is secured and using a decent encryption, you are safer sending your card number over the net, then typing it into your telephone to pay something.

I have booked my flights with Air Asia a lot of times and never had any problem.
I also used to pay for lot of other things on internet. I had problem once with an webhosting provider who continued to withdraw money after cancellation (of their poor and worthless service, still a giant in that field) and once with Yahoo Directory, they charged despite my cancellation one year later.
If problem, just contact your bank and they will do a chargeback. But always talk to the companies first and ask them to refund.

Same here...used air asia and tiger air quite a few times and no problems with online credit card bookings.
Take note...you need to book at least 48 hours prior to departure on line...twice I got stung with this one..
Happy travels

Beware, I never got any problems paying "on line", but with "Air Asia", there could be some problems.
Not with the payment, but indeed, I heard and witnessed a lot of cancelation/delays! I don't use them any more if I am travelling from abroad anymore.
If I arrive, the last thing I want is to wait for hours for an connecting flight and the stress that my flight is cancceled!

Beware
I was to come to LOS 2 weeks ago, but came down with a serious case of the flu, and could not travel. It had me laid up for over two weeks, with a couple of nights in the hospital. I booked my ticket through an agent, and she got me refund. Had I booked the same ticket over the internet (through the airlines site), it would have cost me $200 more, and there would have been NO refund. So buyer beware, read the fine print.
I will still book my local flights over the net, but a $1000+ hit is hard to take.

Thats why you take out travel insurance. The online fares are cheaper for a reason.

no, in fact it was the other way around, the agent fare was $200 less than the online one. She is an agent with the carrier, so it may have something to do with that, and the quanity of tickets she writes. She deals with an Asain customer base, and writes a flock load of tickets to the "homeland". In fact, that just about all she does. One day I saw a fare on the net that was the same as hers, she called the airline and got them to reduce it by $100 so she could write the ticket. The conversation went " how do you expect me to sell any tickets if you have the same price" I was shocked when they reduced it.
Go figure.
