Nasal Sprays

HI guys while we were over in LOS in May we noticed a number of the bar girls using nasal spray. Now we are pretty sure it's not due to a head cold, so has anyone any idea what the nasal spray is and what is used for.

A lot of the BGs and Thai people use a nasal inhaler called Poy-Sian. It is sold in all the pharmacies and at the hospital, too.

It is a menthol inhaler and contains:
menthol - 42.0%
camphor - 16.4%
eucalyptus oil -8.4%
borneol - 6.1%

Oddly enough, it says on it, that it is for the relief of vertigo. That is strange because I don't think people get vertigo that often.

But when you inhale it, it gives you pleasant little stimulating "rush." It is probably good for killing the odd bacteria in your nasal passages, but a friend of mine who is an acupuncturist told me that if used too often, it is not good for the lining of your nasal and sinus passages. I've known some girls who really seemed hooked on the stuff, and late at night after drinking, they would take the liquid oil, which apparently you can also buy in a vial to sniff and they would open up the vial and pour it on their fingertips, and rub it on the inner edges of their nostrils, so that they could be constantly inhaling a great deal of it.

It is strange stuff, but I got to like it in small doses. It does clear your sinuses a bit, and gives you that little stimulating "rush" when you inhale it.
I bought 5 of them to take home with me and use them occasionally for the stimulant effect. Just pulled it out now and took a few sniffs of it. Ah-h-h!! I find it is a pleasant stimulant, when used in moderation.

Hi Diz,

I stayed in a room with only a fan for the same reason. I hate air-con and it causes me a lot of sinus congestion, which I also have problems with in the winter here in Northern California where the climate is quite cool and damp all winter. My sinuses are only getting back to normal lately since we've had a lot of rain this year. It even rained a couple days ago, and sure enough, my sinuses got a little congested those days.

In LOS, I found that I had the same problem if I stayed in an air-con room, but no problem if I stayed in fan room. It is funny because some of the BGs complained about no air-con, and some thought I must be poor, can't afford air-con. I told them I don't like it, but they just gave me that "don't believe you" look!

There is one other big advantage of fan room. The girls get over their shyness about being naked a lot quicker when it is hot in the room. It is nice to sleep naked with no covers! Much better than shy girl hiding under the covers.

I have used the "stuff" for ages. I remember a few years back getting nose bleeds on a regular basis, so stopped using it for a while. I always have it with me the bar as I hate cigarette smoke, and it does a great job of covering that up.

I've been bringing them back to UK for mine and family use for a few years.

They're handy because one end has the nasal inhaler and the other end has a small cap full of the liquid which you can dab onto clothes to aid breathing when you have a cold.

My missus uses it to stop dizzyness.

Seriously, you put a good deal of effort into many of your posts, and that's an asset to this board.
