File Size Upload

Greetings,
Need to compress my photos for up load, anysuggestions.
I can get them up but it isn't very pretty.....No Pun
What compression program are you guys using!

Hi Jimmy.
If the photos are already in jpeg format, even compressing them you will get very little improvement. About a 5% reduction.
But you could adjust the balance between quality and size. In this way you can get a huge reduction of the file size, but you surely loose detail and quality.(100Kb however is an accettable size for a jpeg image to be seen on the web).
For doing this, you can use any kind of graphic program out there (photoshop, ACDsee, ecc.).

tried to download some digital HQ photo's on the board but to large for downloading. picking them up from photo shop today then i can scan them and put on the board. seems to work for me before. It's a bit of a long way to go about it but you need to have HQ photo's just to show your friends what there missing.

if you do find a better way to download HQ photo's on the board please say.

Thanks for the prompt response, I got a patch for the software allowing me to get the dpi down to 75, which "they-HP" say will do for posting e-mail..... I couldn't get from between 100 and 10 dpi posted! I'm just getting some things from the last two years on the board as the next insertion to Boomland will be recorded via digicam.......

Digi cam shopping is a brain twist! Seems the thing to do is is wait as I'm on the list for a new Cannon Sure Shot (!@@#$) which is very small and has big boy specs. Has 3X both digi and optical zoom and a dual flash power level for low and night lite shots both. They have 128 mg sticks as standard... With the Mpeg/sound system and the 128 sticks I might be able to put up some live action shots......No on the board, don't wory Nicke!
A little on the pricey side but I want you guys to see the fluff throgh the jeans.

Will there be any upload probems with this MTB Lovely
