I wonder how many BM's would still goto LOS if.....there were no BG's no P4P scene at all and the red light scene was just like any other farang country? I would say that sure BM's may come here for a holiday but it would be much shorter and probably once every 5 years.

Stevew agree 100% with you on this one, I live in Khon Kaen City & in the surrounding countryside there is spectacular scenery and lots to do, most bars up here do not really have BG's more staff as such, still some though, but you can still have a great laugh with the staff

As I stated in the thread about reasons to retire in LOS, my three top reasons are :

1. Massages
2. Massages
3. Massages

There are plenty of BMs, which you would know if you read many posts here, that are totally not into the P4P scene, and are settle down with a girl. If there was no bar scene, I would find a regular girl. Of the TGs I have had relationships with in the past, half were BGs, half were TGs who did not work in the ladybars and never worked there. One was a CPA.

Yeah have to admit that it was a friends of mine story's of what he did when he went to los, that brought me here the first time!

But I think that on every trip back since, im moving away from the bg scene. On each trip now im spending less and less time trying to hook up with bg's and more time just talking to local people!

Its got to a point now that i only relly think of hooking up when im too drunk to think of anything else (unfortuatly!)!!!

yes i will be back in patong soon ,but it will be very different from the first visits.
whne i can afford to retire i will not be spending a minute longer in the uk then i have to .

I would still go for the scuba diving but the night diving does make the trip more fun overall. I could go to better areas for scuba diving(Maldives, PNG, and others) but it is nice to have something to do at night and nothing beats waking up in the morning next to a beautiful woman.

at this poiunt in my life i still consider nightlife very important, no matter where i go, and it just so happens the nightlife is great in thailand

i am currently in the process of deciding where i want to work next and nightlife, although not the most important will be a factor. for example, if i was offered a job in one place for more money with not that great nightlife versus a place with great nightlife for less money id have to consider the place with better nightlife. but to an extent, say 15000-20000usd/yr difference would be my limit. after that would just go for the money

Only been to LOS once so far and undoubtedly the BG's made my stay even more enjoyable, but I wouldnt hesitate one bit to go back again even if their were no BG's.

First of all I love the food - Thai food is probably number 1 in my cousine book, secondly I dont think I have met people as nice as the Thai's. Of course the BG's very nice for a reason, but in general people are just friendly and helpfull. Add to that the beautifull scenery, the many activities available, the superb scuba diving and snorkeling, the price level, the culture and all the beautiful TG women - hell yeah I would be going back..

Was actually hoping that I could go back from next week when I start my summer vacation, but all the flights to LOS are pretty much full... Only damn expensive tickets left so I think I have to postphone my next visit until November.. Damn..

Got two weeks of vacation from next week so I will probably end up in some European country spending way to much money and dreaming my self to Thailand

I first discover the food in Belgium
I then discovered Phuket on my honeymoon
Then I explored more of the country every time I got back, with my wife.
After years I went with a friend and explored falling in love with a Tg.
Next trip I explored "being dumped" by a TG
On the same trip I explored a bg
Then I explored many bg.....
To end on my last trip with a LB.......

So this cannot be a good ending.......

Next trip back for the Bg's and then try....a FL, I am still a virgin in that teritory!

My first trip was for the girls mostly and also to meet up with a few BMs that I had been talking to on this forum for 2months previously.

And my last trip and my next trip will be for reverse reasons, To meet BMs first and BGs second, Honestly though if there was no bar scene in Los, I dont think I would return due to the fact that I dont think the other BMs would either, Also I dont think I would be into spending a fortune to travel all the way there to chase skirt, When I could be spending that money traveling the rest of the world unless I was there with my girlfriend or on a honeymoon or something.
