The craziest thing I have seen in Thailand !
Just like the rest of you i have seen many things and ongoings which surprise me for only a few seconds because its Thailand and strange things happen there but at christmas time i saw something which not only amazed me but also really pissed me off . I came out of Country Roads 2 Bar on the corner of sukhumvit soi 19 in Bangkok and there right in the middle of all the traffic was 2 thai guys leading an elephant along, nothing strange in that but this one believe it or not both sides of the elephant someone had painted advertisements for various bars and restaurants on the elephants skin with white paint and i know it was paint because we attempted to wipe it off. This is totaly wrong because i might be wrong but i reckon the elephant when it sweats will be ingesting the paint through its skin, so most things i see in los i can have a good laugh at but not on that occasion

Animal Welfare
I have seen elephants being led down Sukhumvit by guys who carry food which you can buy and then give to the elephant. The poor elephants seem so anxious to get the food that I wonder if they have been denied food beforehand.
I agree about the possibility of the paint irritating or harming the animal so I can only hope it is some non-toxic paint. It seems that animal welfare is not a very high profile issue in LOS - you only have to look at the way animals are presented for sale in Chatuchak market to see that.
On a positive note, I have noticed that a number of TG's are very attached to their canine pets. I've seen this when reading through profiles on dating sites for TG's. Some of them are very passionate about their dogs.

Hi Paul, I met you at MTB sometime around the third week of April. Did you have the dog with you then? I didn't see it.
Was the travelling much of a trauma for the dog and did he enjoy his holiday?

Has anyone seen these hard to explain fireballs in the north ??
Verifiable (not rare) fireballs coming out of the river and flying up into the sky..

Hi Steve,
Yes, I can imagine the thread quickly got out of hand -
But......
Something I have ALWAYS thought is this -
It is one thing to see someone chuff canary or frogs/toads etc out her flue, but the real question is
"How the hell do they practice this stuff !!!! "
I can always see a bedroom full of dead canaries and toads until they get it correct !
That is what is more bizarre !

Years ago when I was in and out of Bangkok nearly every week, I had a good a friend there whose ex TG used to train the girls in Patpong to do the shows. One thing I remember about this and after visiting said bar during the afternoon training session, that it takes about 9 months to learn to shoot accurately an object out of the pussy. Was a very interesting afternoon session.

Apart from stupid farang tricks? One of the more novel was on a tour bus in Isaan, saw a couple of water buffalo crossing the road a long way ahead of us. "Are they doing what it looks like?" As we got closer, sure enough, a bull was trying to mount a cow in the middle of the road. Thai bus driver had absolutely no sympathy or curiosity. Didn't slow down a bit, just laid on the horn until they gave up the effort and moved off the road. Read somewhere that water buffalo are so mellow, it's surprising they reproduce so that may have meant one less buffalo calf.

From my wanderings around various maternity units I would say 9 months is about right for that kind of activity...

"Dear Tirak, I love you. Our buffalo are sick and we cannot breed any more because bus drivers will not let them f**k in the middle of the road. Please send money to build special bus-free bufalo f**king-road. I love you."

Sounds like a 'Wil-O'the-Wisps' type phenomenon - marsh gas produced by rotting vegetation at the bttom of the river occasionally collecting and escaping in one large bubble. If the mixture contains phosphoretted hydrogen (PH3/P2H4) it is capable of spontaneous combustion on contact with air (yellowish flame).
Cheers,
K.

Just seems strange it happens at particular nights / time of the year regularly.. Perhaps its to do with rainy seasons or similar..
Tempted to go and see these naga fireballs in the autumn..

Culinary tastes
Did see a girl in a show in Pattaya put the banana up there and then bring it out and chop into portions with her muscles, nothing to special about that. What I thought was unusual was that one of the punters went up and ate a couple of the bits she dropped on stage.

I remember at the lady boy show at the end of Croc it used to be a bit wilder in the older days than it is now.. I went in there with my GF on one of my first tours and there was a post op LB naked pole dancing.. (s)he then got a punters half drunk beer bottle.. Put the bottle in her surgical gash.. Did a swing on the pole upside down so you could see the beer now running out the bottle and into her.. Then righted herself still clamping the bottle.. Beer runs back into the bottle and hands it back to punter...
With a bit of egging on from the peanut gallery he drank it !!!

So that's where top chef 'Gordon Ramsay' gets his idea's from.
A fillet of monkfish wrapped in Parma ham on a bed of herb risotto, white asparagus with chopped bananas in an exquisite oyster sauce.
Mmmmmm I'm feeling hungry already ......

God has his ways of dealing with everyone. If you sins, you will have to face God someday. Lots of things are wrong in MEN's hands, there are just too many to list here and it's just my opion so I rather not talk about other wrongful things to me that human do to this earth. Here in the U.S.A I have enough with the media/goverment ! Paying too much taxes and those politicians are ruined american's lifes. Why are U.S citizens voting for those liars and crooks in office?
