Golf packages in Phuket?

Hi all, new to the board but have enjoyed everybody's enlightening words over the last week or so. The wit indeed does flow.

I am in Bangkok now but I'm hoping to come to Phuket later this month to play 15-20 rounds of golf over 20-30 days. Does anybody have any information about one month memberships or special packages at Loch Palm or other courses on Phuket? I haven't received any responses from these places via e-mail, and by telephone it's a disaster, 'cause my Thai's a disaster.

Thanks a million,
Niko

They seem a lot dearer than other sites for green fees, 4000Bt for loch palm I have seen this at 2,000ish on loch plams own site? I appreciate they include taxi and caddie but allowing 500 for taxi and 200 for caddie still seems more expensive?

There is a card called IIRC the 'expat' card.. It makes major savings on all the courses here and as I understand it allows for very cheap golfing..

If Nicke doesnt know about it then Guys I know who are members can give details..

Try Phuket golf

My and a buddy got a few rounds set up by an older Brittish chap who lives in Patong and runs a place (which I think was called phuket golf). We booked everything over the net and the guy was great. He picked us up at the airport, booked our hotel, set tee times and then actually drove us to the courses which was key since most courses are at least a 40 min drive from Patong. Anyway this guy did provide a good service, was pleasant and his commission I think was very reasonable for all he did for us (I actually think that booking our package through him was cheaper than we could have done on our own....well at least it was worth paying for the service as I was happy with him putting up with our hung over asses). I will try to look through my files and find his contact information. There are some good courses in Phuket but be aware it is bloody hot playing......(they guy though we were nuts when we told him we actually wanted noon tee times as we were out partying all night). This was around the same time last year.
