Are you drinking too much?
Interesting test on this website. I'm keen to know fellow boardmembers results?!
http://www.howsyourdrink.org.uk/home.php
Results:
Thank you for taking the test.
You scored 12.
Feedback
Your drinking is medium risk and you are likely to be drinking above safe levels.
You are more likely to experience harm as a result of your drinking than most people.
This means that you are more likely to have accidents, social / psychological problems and have a higher risk of developing alcohol dependency problems in the future.
You may not have experienced harm so far and if you are able to cut down, you should be able to avoid serious problems.
Your score is higher than 73.5% of UK adults.
owned.

Scored 29
Thanks Hobbsy I will put most of that score down to the last trip and the amount consumed on those nights doing the crawl through the clubs and the Mai thai bar with yourself. I blame you lol.
You scored 29.
Feedback
You are at the highest level of risk and your drinking appears to be very harmful.
You are likely to be physically dependent on alcohol and will have experienced significant harm as a result of your drinking.
Continuing to drink at these levels is very damaging, but you should not stop drinking today as you risk withdrawal symptoms, which can be medically dangerous.
96.4% of UK adults drink more safely than you.
Thanks again hobbsy I am about to seek help!!!!

i was just discussing this with DJaust, i'm no chemist but i believe alcohol is alcohol. Measured in units so a high percentage/proof 40% scotch u will drink less of or mixed with a soft drink.
Personally tho beer always gets me much drunker, quicker and its not a nice drunk (usually end up puking) but that down to the ingredients of beer.

to further clarify units of alcohol as to whether certain drinks are worse pls see this below:
DRINK [UNITS]
1 pub measure of spirits (whisky, gin, vodka) [1]
1 pub measure of fortified wine (sherry, martini, port) [1]
1 glass table wine [1]
1 glass or can of 'alcoholic lemonade' (alcopop) [2]
1 pint of low alcohol beer [½]
1 can of beer [1 ½]
1 pint of beer [2]
1 bottle of 'super' or special lager [2 ½]
1 pint of stout, real ale or strong lager [3]
1 can of 'super' or special lager [4]
1 bottle of table wine [7]
1 litre bottle of table wine [10]
1 bottle of fortified wine (sherry, martini, port) [14]
1 bottle of spirits (whisky, gin, vodka) [30]
hope that's informative.

The test is only a bit of fun, There's no way it can be accurate.
For instance, How much alcohol you can consume in one day, Varys from person to person based on there height, weight, age...etc..etc...

I am not a big drinker, I usually drink just few beers and get drunk easy if I drink too much, so I guess I have a low tolerance for alchol. I also never drink in daytime, since I stay in a bar every night.
I know Geir and Graham can drink large amounts, would like to see Geir's score.

* You should not stop drinking immediately as this may trigger alcohol withdrawal, which can be very dangerous.
